I can't imagine why anyone would want that, for any reason. Weird. Come on, man! Dude is a YANKEE. Next thing you're going to tell me is that Paulie O'Neill won a World Series with the Reds. Whatever, dude! 26 World Championships, baby!
Heilman just doesn't have the trade value that he once had. It's either he accepts a demotion to N'awlins or he has to suck it up and keep going out there. (Or you cut him, which isn't happening.) You're not going to get anything worthwhile for him from another team.
In defense of SpongeBob TrollPants, we really can't hit him. Wasn't he the guy who walked three guys with the bases loaded? The Mets lost that game anyway, IIRC.
Yeah, it's not terribly "X"L. It's a little bigger than I'd think an L would be, but definitely not XL. Wears more like a L. I'll wash it today and see what happens. Remember that look from yesterday? Wife gave me the same one when it got here today.

That said, I wouldn't get upset one way or the other, as long as whatever they did reflected deep and ocnsidered thought with regard to their history, and connecting fans of the future with it, and less regard for kowtowing to to sponsors. So you're saying that retiring 31 for Mike "Papa John's" Piazza sponsored by Banco Popular would be a bad idea. Got it.

I think we need a little more perspective before we retire his number, that's all. It's great to be emotional, and I love Mike Piazza like few other Mets I've watched. But will his legacy stand the test of time? Maybe. Look back in five or ten years... and if it does, then you retire it.
No on the retired number, yes on the interlocking NY in bronze in Cooperstown. And yes on Piazza Day this summer. Too bad he couldn't catch on with anyone.
="Gwreck"]We still have more decisions to make after this doubleheader today: who will start on Saturday? Sat May 24 - TBA v. Jorge De La Rosa I haven't pitched since Little League, circa 1985, so I'm on full rest.
