  1. First, second, and third for the illegitimate son of Pat Tabler, David Wright.
  2. Hey! A Chan Ho Park sighting! Bring him in! Bring him in!
  3. I agree with making the call tomorrow. We're figuring on leaving home around 1:00ish, getting to the park around 2:00-2:30ish. Hopefully they've made a play-or-no-play decision by then.
  4. Actually a mighty good question. I never really hated Torre, though. I had a grudging respect for the guy. Maybe it was the cancer, maybe it was his secret Metliness, or maybe it was just that there were too many guys across town to dislike (Jeets, Paulie, Kid Toucher McRoidass, Sheffield, Pettitte, Giambi, et al) that Torre just never got that venom.
  5. Col. Mustard: Well you tell him its not true! Ms. Scarlett: It's not true. Mr. Green: It's not true? Ms. Scarlett: No, it's not true Mr. Green: Aha! So it IS true! Wadsworth: A double negative! Col. Mustard: Double negative? You mean you have.....photographs?! Wadsworth: That sounds like a confession to me, In fact the double negative has led to proof positive. I'm afraid you gave yourself away. Col. Mustard: Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests? Wadsworth: You don't need any help from me, sir. Col. Mustard: That's right!
  6. Maybe just against the Dodgers.
  7. I'm going to go all Valadius/Micah Owings here and demand that the Mets acquire Ryan Freel NOW.
  8. Come on, Ryan Freel!
  9. Benjamin Grimm wrote: ="Gwreck"]Benjamin Grimm wrote: My prediction: W, L, L, W. You're gonna predict a loss on CPF Meeting day? That's cold. Mike Pelfrey doesn't win. (And maybe I'm providing him with incentive to prove me wrong!) Mike Pelfrey doesn't have to win. We have 12th-Inning Tatis!
  10. With a two-year-old of our own, we'll likely bring some Goldfish and a stack of diapers. Seriously, we'll try to contribute something easy, like a bag of chips or two and a couple jars of salsa.

  12. I hope he does it on his way to right field after hitting a tiebreaking home run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
  13. I gave Tatis an extra nudge point for the faux HBP, which led to the insurance run.
  14. They only did it because Chris Rock told them to.
  15. Nothing says "Let's Celebrate CPF Day at Shea" than a Mike Pelfrey start.
  16. Santana 3.5 Tatis 2 Castro 2 Easley 1 Sanchez 1 Wagner 0.25 Wright 0.25
  17. Valadius. His dad won the "throw out the first pitch," I believe, which Val will be doing some time this summer.
  18. It was just a behind-home-plate angle of a 95-mph heater from Lindstrom that Wright barely fouled back. FUCKIN HELL, DP.
  19. "This is to show you out there who think you can get a hit off a major league pitcher. No you can't." -Ron Darling
  20. I just don't see what makes anyone think Delgado's going to get better as the season goes on.
  21. Hell, just ride Tatis until he remembers that he's too old to keep this up also. Or Carp. Or Michel Abreu. Or anyone, really, considering Luis Fucking Castillo has a higher OPS than Delgado.
  22. Okay, seventh inning stretch. Someone duct-tape Aaron Heilman to his locker for two innings.
  23. See, what happens is that you replace Delgado on the roster with another player. They let you do that when you cut a guy.
  24. Okay, so leave him there. There are financial aspects of putting him on the 40 that might not matter. You can still get rid of the other guys. Hell, call the Ducks and get Pete Rose Jr or Joe Valentine; I'd rather have either of them than Marlon Anderson or Matt Wise.
