Part of me wants Boyer to strike out the side here in dramatic fashion, but I'd really not rather have that kind of closer drama. Boyer's beard is closer-worthy, though.

I totally love how well Gary straddles the line between fan and impartial announcer. Little slips like calling Willie Harris "Lenny" a few innings ago, celebrating the second K in the bottom the ninth, etc. He's brilliant.

Tim McCarver frustrates me. I used to LOVE his analysis when I was a kid, and I still think "Baseball for Brain Surgeons" is a really well-done book. I don't know if he's just losing his mind or what.

I believe I've taken Florida the last few years, so I'll take them again for the season.

I recall Vida Blue wearing a single digit, but his b-r page says no. David Wells wore 3 in Boston IIRC.

Kunz isn't going to amount to anything, methinks. Can't get AA hitters out consistently.
