  1. I just ordered some 2016 cards for myself -- the Mets, along with the Padres and Marlins for two of our Stony Brook guys. The problem is that our third guy, Angels pitcher Nick Tropeano, is only in the "additional cards" set, and I'm not spending twenty bucks for one card. Any chance any of you need a Strat game and want to order the full set and just spin off the Tropeano to me?
  2. I think we were all upset about DeAza when we were looking at him getting 400-500 AB. Now that he'll be in the 150 AB range, I think we're all a lot chiller.

  6. It's going to be hard to remember anything but the suspension. So much promise there.

  8. And even more interesting, how did nobody fall off the front?

  11. Yeah, I had that same problem. It happens with the small boxes, unfortunately.
  12. Zvon wrote: I thought I got a double of the GOODEN MLB DEBUT card but on closer inspection one has silver font and one has gold font. Everything else on the two cards are identical, but one is slightly tinted gold. What's the deal with that? I did get doubles of Wilmer and Familia. I got...I guess it's a parallel Cuddyer (it's rainbowy). And a first pitch card with Victor Espinoza in a Mets jersey. The MLB Debut have bronze, silver, and gold versions. There are a number of parallels. The "rainbow foil" version you got is the most basic. There's a black & white photo parallel, and there are a number of other color parallels (gold, purple, black, etc.) where the "smoke" part of the image has some colored gridding in it.
  13. I totally understand that, but you can certainly enjoy the product without knowing the variations exist. If you're an obsessive player collector, then finding the short-printed Conforto variation can be a pain. But if you just want to have a Conforto RC in your collection, the "A" version is perfectly fine.
  14. Totally agree. Just saying that's the price difference. Also -- eyeball your cards closely. If you've got any of the camo jerseys in your photos, you might have a short-printed variation that might earn you a few bucks on eBay: http://www.beckett.com/news/2016/02/2016-topps-series-1-baseball-variations/

  16. Ooh, I see you pulled one of the CPF "special edition" Doc Gooden cards.

  24. Reenact it when the Reds are in town this summer and we'll see if we can find you on the field THEN.
  25. That's a pretty well-done parody.
