  1. What a zany year. It was pretty much smg and marathon all the way, and there was this weird group of like six of us who kept bouncing around from third to ninth all season.
  2. PNC seems to get the "best park in the majors" tag, but I disagree. Views were obviously fantastic of downtown, but other than that, it seemed really cramped. Food options seemed kind of limited on the concourse - it was basically the same hot dog stand over and over, with a few specialty options sprinkled in. (The Pierogie Hoagie was THE REAL DEAL, though.) Friendly folks all around, though. Surprising number of jerseys and shirseys of guys you only kinda remember, too.
  3. Might as well pick this back up, even though I'm a year and a half gone from Stony Brook. Still rooting for these guys, even though things are a little bleak right now. Majors: Minors: Tom Koehler (DL - Pirates): Still on the 60, but working his way back. Hopefully by the end of the year. Travis Jankowski (DL - Padres): Got hurt in spring, currently finishing up rehab. .419 OBP in seven minor league games, should be back very soon. Daniel Zamora (AAA Mets): 5.68 in the bigs, 8.25 in AAA, working his way into LOOGYdom. Nick Tropeano (AAA Angels): Lit up in both of his MLB spot starts; currently back in AAA, where he's 2-2, 6.23 in nine games. Patrick Cantwell (AAA Blue Jays): .255/.345/.314 in 16 games as the backup catcher. Aaron Pinto (A+ Indians): 1.90 ERA in 47 1/3 innings across two levels. Bobby Honeyman (A Mariners): .244/.296/.338 in 339 PA. Nick Grande (A- Diamondbacks): .160/.283/.200 (eight singles and a triple) in 60 PA. Michael Wilson (R Brewers): .216/.324/.432 in 106 PA. Indy: Campbell (Sussex County, Can-Am): 3.96 ERA in 25 innings. Parenty (Schaumburg, Frontier): .279/.324/.380 in 223 PA. Marino (Southern Illinois, Frontier): 7.27 ERA in four starts.
  4. No, it's a truly awful movie. My two entries are Less Than Zero, which I thought was a terrible movie with a fantastic soundtrack (Aerosmith's cover of "Rockin' Pneumonia," which is one of my favorite Aero songs, along with "Going Back To Cali", "Bring the Noise," and the Bangles "Hazy Shade of Winter."), and Last Action Hero, which was even worse, but had Def Leppard, Tesla, AC/DC, Alice In Chains, Aerosmith, and a few others.

  7. Looks like we have only three guys on the bench each week.
  8. A Boy Named Seo wrote: So it looks like the draft is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern yeah? If so, that's 2 cool hours before the other league, which should be ample time. Wait, I have Wednesday the 20th as draft night for ottoneu. Can we make them both the 17th? That'd be ideal.
  9. =Fman99 post_id=2708 time=1549851332 user_id=86] Not us. I did read on the Mets official site that there's a chance the big league team plays a game here in the 'Cuse sometime in the stretch between departing PSL and opening day. Which would be fucktacular.
  10. There should be an option on the main page when you log in to re-up your membership. (Did it go up? Thought it was ten bucks last year.)
  11. Both Sunday nights are equally terrible for me, because I'm traveling all week that week in the middle. So whatever works for everyone else is good by me.
  12. Fine, you fuckers. I'm in.
  13. Yeah, I saw you made me an offer but it was gone by the time I got to it. No interest, regardless - I'm pretty much tapped out on the top end.
  14. Frayed Knot wrote: Also, since the standard for lead actor/actress vs supporting has long been the above the title/below the title billing, how did they decide that Viggo Mortensen is nominated for best actor while Mahershala Ali is designated in the supporting category? https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BMjMyNzExNzQ5OV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwNjM2MjIxNjM@._V1_UX182_CR0,0,182,268_AL_.jpg> I haven't seen the movie so I'm not sure how things like screen time or amount of dialog plays out, but it certainly seems to be billed and sold as a two star flick. Because he's driving and Mahershala is just *sitting there.* Slacker.
  15. I would love to, but I can't mentally manage more than one team or it takes up way more time than it should in my life. Sorry!
  16. Shit, they literally made a movie ABOUT FEELINGS. I cried the whole damn time.
  17. Yay! More actual Mets fans in there! Good times.
  18. And the crazy thing about this movie is that they get you RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING. They don't even wait for the denouement or anything.
  19. I think this is all I saw this year, also in rough best to worst order: Avengers: Infinity War Black Panther Ralph Breaks the Internet Smallfoot Solo: A Star Wars Story Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald Incredibles 2
  20. This is possibly my wife's favorite movie of all time.
  21. Looks like the three teams who haven't allocated are all non-CPFers.
  22. You're right, it's not. Click on the "Arbitration" link on the left side of the top nav, and then there's an "overview" drop down just under that. Click through each team in the drop down one by one, allocating $1-3 per team.
  23. Vic Sage wrote: if the film isn't successful, it will be ironic that the most popular use of "Bohemian Rhapsody" in a movie won't be in the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody". Even if this film *is* successful, the most popular use of "Bohemian Rhapsody" in a movie was never going to be in the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody". Wayne's World has that award locked up in perpetuity.
  24. And theoretically the Motley Crue movie that's allegedly in production, although I don't think anyone really thinks that's going to be any sort of blockbuster.
  25. A Boy Named Seo wrote: Looks like a few more ABs/innings today to shore up 2nd and 3rd. Hey, all I need is nineteen homers today from Bryant/Murphy/Kike Hernandez/Chris Taylor and I jump from eighth to seventh. #YaGottaBelieve
