  1. Thought I saw somewhere that he was moving to 3.
  2. Feels like the right move. I like it.
  3. I'll second that. Love that it exists in its own form - sometimes this thread becomes a slog when you have to scroll through an entire organizationload of players, sometimes five or six times on one page. It's not entirely mobile-friendly, though. For what that's worth.
  4. None of these players should be in any Mets Hall of Fame, by almost any metric. I am so confused.
  5. We have been incredibly fortunate to have the talent we've had in both of our booths for the past, oh, I don't know, 65 years or thereabouts. It's really remarkable. Even Tim McCarver was brilliant as a Mets announcer before he went nuts.
  6. If Semien didn't have two more years on that contract, I'd agree with you, but I don't know. I love Mauricio, but he feels more and more like a trade chip this summer.
  7. Don't give them any ideas.
  8. Same. All my responses are "I don't know and don't care who the advertisers are" and "I want more stories about the Mets."
  9. I guess that explains why I didn't get a residual check in the mail LOL! Got an email from "Grand Central Mets" and thought I got stuck on some weird mailing list, and like a fool, I clicked on it to check it out and WHAMMO here you all are. Go figure. I'm told that we've shed some of the riffraff, which is nice. This place was toxic af for a while. Took all the fun out of it. But I missed you all. (Well, some of you.) 🤣
  10. What on earth happened? Did we get bought out by Big Media? The heck is all this?
  11. I'm in 10th! The highest I've been in months!
  12. We were there at the end of April 2015. Koehler was reasonably well established as probably their #3 starter at that point, and Jose Fernandez was hurt early that season so he was even technically more than that. It's not like he was an All-Star by any means, but I still thought there was at least a small chance to see a KOEHLER 34 shirsey for sale. LOL!
  13. I went to two games there a few years ago, and was oddly fascinated by it. The first game it was rainy, so the outfield walls were closed and it felt cavernous and echoey, like a convention center. (The same way we felt about le Stade Olympique in 2004.) Two nights later, it was a gorgeous night, the walls were open, and it felt MUCH nicer. Love love love the "bobblehead museum." Feel free to give them crap at the team store for not carrying any Tom Koehler merch back in the day.
  14. Figured it was long overdue to see what's happening with these guys. Travis Jankowski (Mets): DL'ed after becoming a viral sensation despite a .501 OPS. Sold some jerseys. Aaron Pinto (AAA, Cleveland): Looks like the next MLB Seawolf - 2-1, 3.15 in 20 innings, all out of the pen. Nick Tropeano (AAA, Texas): 3.48 ERA in 20 innings. Daniel Zamora (AAA, Dodgers): 3.97 ERA in 22 innings. Tanner Cooper (low-A, Reds): 3.77 ERA in 31 innings.
  15. I'm not available until 9:30 at the absolute earliest on Wednesday nights - that's the night I host quiz.
  16. I *love* the keeper-league aspect of this, because it requires you to really think about what you value and how much it's worth to your budget. And I love the categories and how middle relievers and bit players still have some value. The day-to-day of it can, admittedly, be a bit much for me, and I'll go for a few days forgetting to set my lineup.
  17. Updated for 2021, now with less players! Daniel Zamora (AAA Mets): bouncing back and forth on the Syracuse shuttle so far, but didn't get to the mound with the Mets. Gave up seven runs in 2 1/3 innings in one Syracuse appearance. Nick Tropeano (AAA Giants): Started Friday night and gave up two runs in 2 2/3 innings. Travis Jankowski (AAA Phillies): 6-for-19 in six games. Aaron Pinto (AA Cleveland): two games out of the pen, one run in four innings. Bobby Honeyman (AA Mariners): 2-for-10 in four games. Tanner Cooper (low-A Reds): 3 1/3 scoreless innings in two games.
  18. No, except for starters/relievers.
  19. I thought this was fantastic. A top-5 Pixar movie for me.
  20. Just grabbed the book from the library before lockdown. Guess there's no rush to finish it and get it back.
  21. We loved this movie. It was totally over the top.
  22. No, it's both leagues. It's just that wins and saves are dumb.
  23. Thanks for the nudge. Done.
