  1. Griffin Canning joining Phillies malcontent Nick Castellanos in San Diego for 2026.
  2. Yeah, you'd think he'd have fit in better with the Phillies than he did. Lol
  3. He sounds like a douche to me
  4. I attended my first Mets game in person sometime in 1976 or 1977, I would think. But I have no way of knowing what day or who they played, I do not recall even who the opponent was. Maybe a Cubs game?
  5. Funny coincidence that every single MLB appearance made by Nolan Ryan was for these four teams.
  6. It's utter nonsense. As a fan who attends one game per year I can tell you that I pay this fee with teeth firmly gritted.
  7. I definitely think it's a good thing. He came up and had his first success in KC but his peak years were in Queens.
  8. If I had ever been good enough to play major league baseball you can bet your ass I'd have been sporting a sweet, sweet mullet out there. If not them, then who?
  9. Wow, 325 career dingers for this guy. Has he been around that long? I feel old
  10. I think this is the year that Alvarez, Vientos and Baty all show that a single good year, or stretch of months, isn't just a fluke in each case. Because I'm optimistic. I also drink a decent amount, that helps
  11. Luis Torrens insurance. I approve. See you around Syracuse my man
  12. This is encouraging. I dig the WBC but I'm still leery after what happened to Sugar in 2023
  13. We enjoyed watching him pitch here in Syracuse last summer. I don't have any specific memories of him at either AAA or the big league club though.
  14. Hard to believe that in today's political climate a guy who sounds like a jerk can't get his $200 million.
  15. Still my wife's favorite Met of the last 15-20 years. She'd be estatic, though I don't see him fitting on the 2026 Mets roster.
  16. It's January, we have to invent **** to crab about. Due to the absence of baseball. Which is seemingly interminable this time of year.
  17. Apparently this game is gonna be on Peacock and not SNY. So that's some crap.
  18. He had good MLB numbers last year albeit a small sample (2.25 ERA in 14 IP). Here's hoping for the dead cat bounce with this guy
  19. We have a foldout couch, so that's two right there. Syracuse is nice in the summer.
  20. Senga's inclusion really requires a six man rotation. He can't take the ball every fifth day.
  21. Forgive me for sleeping on the guy with a career batting average south of the Mendoza line.
  22. Peralta certainly hit his (so far) high water mark last year but he also has a career ERA/WHIP of 3.59/1.13 and has started 30+ games each of the last three years. I like this deal. Sproat departing while Tong + McLean stay, which I think all along was the most likely outcome amongst those three.
  23. From the ******* of the bad hitting baseball god, obvi
  24. Acuna did not really have a spot in the 2025 plan, far as I could see. Fwife is pissed. Acuna was her favorite Syracuse Met the last two years. I am hoping Luis Robert is not the 2026 Cedric Mullins. Because the 2025 Cedric Mullins drank some ass
