  1. Luis Torrens insurance. I approve. See you around Syracuse my man
  2. This is encouraging. I dig the WBC but I'm still leery after what happened to Sugar in 2023
  3. We enjoyed watching him pitch here in Syracuse last summer. I don't have any specific memories of him at either AAA or the big league club though.
  4. Hard to believe that in today's political climate a guy who sounds like a jerk can't get his $200 million.
  5. Still my wife's favorite Met of the last 15-20 years. She'd be estatic, though I don't see him fitting on the 2026 Mets roster.
  6. It's January, we have to invent **** to crab about. Due to the absence of baseball. Which is seemingly interminable this time of year.
  7. Apparently this game is gonna be on Peacock and not SNY. So that's some crap.
  8. He had good MLB numbers last year albeit a small sample (2.25 ERA in 14 IP). Here's hoping for the dead cat bounce with this guy
  9. We have a foldout couch, so that's two right there. Syracuse is nice in the summer.
  10. Senga's inclusion really requires a six man rotation. He can't take the ball every fifth day.
  11. Forgive me for sleeping on the guy with a career batting average south of the Mendoza line.
  12. Peralta certainly hit his (so far) high water mark last year but he also has a career ERA/WHIP of 3.59/1.13 and has started 30+ games each of the last three years. I like this deal. Sproat departing while Tong + McLean stay, which I think all along was the most likely outcome amongst those three.
  13. From the ******* of the bad hitting baseball god, obvi
  14. Acuna did not really have a spot in the 2025 plan, far as I could see. Fwife is pissed. Acuna was her favorite Syracuse Met the last two years. I am hoping Luis Robert is not the 2026 Cedric Mullins. Because the 2025 Cedric Mullins drank some ass
  15. Jones and Beltran were coincidentally born one day apart, on April 23 and 24, 1977 respectively.
  16. Ultimately he has to decide between the longer deal with the MFYs or the shorter, higher potential one with the Mets. But, you know, any day now, there, guy.
  17. He immediately becomes the best right handed hitter in the lineup. And so to me it's foolish to put him anywhere in the lineup that isn't immediately following Juan Soto.
  18. **** yes let's go
  19. **** the Dodgers, though, seriously.
  20. These guys are old toast. Hard pass
  21. Make it so, number one
  22. If Jared Young is the opening day DH, it means someone in the Mets' front office forgot to finish doing their job this winter.
  23. I like a reliever who looks like they sell meth in the off season. Hopefully the 2026 Mets get a guy to fill that role.
  24. You tell that to Jeff McNeil who's moving from the very plush Citi Field to a AAA bandbox in Sac-town
  25. Mine is McLean but that's based mostly on my optimism for what lies ahead.
