I didn't know they had made a movie of this. The book is tremendous.

I'm good with every retired number. Straw and Doc and Mex were my childhood heroes. Beltran and Wright were my son's childhood heroes (he's 21 now!). If 60 years from now all of the current Mets are wearing numbers over 60, who gives a shit?

The Syracuse Mets had this planned a bit better - their first homestand of the season, last week, included all games at either 1:05 PM (Wed, Sat/Sun) or 4:05 PM (Tues, Thurs/Fri). When they're home again, next week, they move to their more standard 6:30 PM starts for the Tues/Thurs/Fri/Sat games.

This was an enjoyable game to watch and not just because it was on before my bedtime.

Curious to see how Senga does today on normal (for American pitchers) rest which historically has been bad for him

@Brock Beauchamp - typically at the CPF, if you started an IGT and the Mets won, then you started the next game's thread and continued to do so after each consecutive Mets win, for as long at that streak lasted. After a loss, anyone was free to start the next game's thread.
