  1. Like they fucking know.

  3. Well, they are my favorite. So that counts?

  5. I like it. Don't trade a stud pitcher that the fans love for your 7th or 8th most important batter. Duh. I think the Noah talk was a lot of smoke designed to bring in Ramos on the cheap (and a 2 year deal for < $20 mill is cheap, for a guy that can hit) with the idea that maybe people thought the Mets' most likely move was to deal players to Miami to get JT. Hopefully he can stay on the field and contribute. I also conflated him with Jesus Flores, FWIW.
  6. I don't think I could handle it.
  7. . I really don't like Andy Martino though. Way too smug and full of himself. I don't see that he brings anything to the table. I don't think he can understand anything from a fan's perspective. Enough of this guy already. This just in: I don't like you either! Now back you you, Bob. He looks like a real shit eater in that hat.

  11. I kind of like it. I generally don't mind saying good bye to prospects, they are unproven commodities. There's always another wave of guys in the system, high draft picks, to take those slots. And I won't miss Bruce & Swarsak because they both sucked a lot of ass last year.
  12. Trading Noah makes perfect sense if you assume that the front office hates their own team's fans.

He showed that he can be a legit MLB bat. The prospects are just prospects, none of which have done anything at the MLB level yet. If McNeil goes along with that package of players I like it WAAAAYYYY less.

  15. I think trading him for anything less than one of the 10-15 best hitters in baseball would be a tragic error. I also fully expect it to happen because if there's one thing the Mets front office knows, it's tragic errors.
  16. No doubt hall of famer. Fun to watch.
  17. Yeah, trade the good young players. Makes perfect fucking sense.
  18. Frayed Knot wrote: The NY Post's story is a bit more detailed and makes it seem more Lewin's decision than not. “Earlier this week, I removed myself from consideration as part of the Mets’ radio team,” Lewin told The Post. “Instead I will be accepting an offer away from New York, with details coming as soon as the contracts get signed.” He also added that this new post would be 'better for his family' Damn, that's a shame. I thought they were a strong pairing.
  19. I don't see the Mets creating a farm team to play in the Amazon. Who's going to go all the way to Brazil for road games? Dumb.
  20. He's going to likely spend most of the 2019 season playing here in my town. Maybe I'll see him at the mall I never go to. I could give a half a fig about Tim Tebow. He's just another old minor leaguer without a big league skill set. Roster filler.
  21. Good thread title.
  22. I want to see him in Flushing. Although him starting the season down the street from me here in the 'Cuse is a nice consolation prize.
  23. I don't see it. I think we get the cyborg 10 cents on the dollar equivalent. Because the Wilpons suck ass.
  24. It'd be awfully tough for me to survive a Francessa interview without calling him a "sopping wet country (edit word for profanity/brevity)." But this is why I probably didn't survive the preliminary round of GM interviews.
