I feel like the Soto signing has one of two effects on Pete's scenario: 1. He's likely to go to the MFYs, now, who need a power bat to replace Soto and have the very toast-ish Anthony Rizzo manning 1B currently, and can entice him with the short porch, or 2. He's maybe equally likely to resign with the Mets, because he wants to be a part of a championship team in this borough and the Soto deal pushes the needle in the right direction I suppose that some dark horse candidate comes along and offers him stupid money and he takes it to go play somewhere else but I feel it's most likely going to be 1 or 2 above.

Sad to give a franchise 30 years to come up with a continuation of a beloved original story only to have it be utter shite. Not this one, which I have not seen, but the ones I have that are comedies are generally pretty rotten.

I tried watching the first one, on a flight, but gave up after 30-40 minutes. Having never read the book I had no idea what was happening and didn't care much either. So I don't think I'm the target audience for the sequel.

I really only watch movies on flights now. I watched both Inception and Interstellar this past week on our trip to/from the Grand Canyon, and enjoyed them both.

I couldn't tell you how bored I was by this movie. In real life all of these guys were much more nerdy and unlaid (well, maybe not Art Howe, but the rest of them).

I've been super negligent in my roster management due to my home page (where I keep my bookmarks) not being accessible because of our move. I've finally fixed that, and my sad-ass roster. I'm about to turn things around now !

Best days for me are any from Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, April 4th/5th/7th, starting 7:30 or later (but not too late, I'd prefer to start nlt 8:30 if it's me).
