    This little recap is helpful to me, I will try to keep posting it as it changes. Reds and Giants both lost yesterday, D-Bags won. While the Mets are off today, all of these teams play (Giants at Arizona, Reds at STL). + 1.5 on SF (Mets have tiebreaker) + 2.0 on ARZ (tiebreaker TBD) + 2.5 on CIN (CIN has tiebreaker)

    I caught them coughing up the lead as we drove home from the Syracuse Mets game (we left early as they were down big). It was 4-3 when we left the park and 6-4 when I got home. I did not put the game on, nor did I check the score. I just went to bed.

    If not now, then when? Mets try to unfuck their September. I am trying to be optimistic but they're not helping. David Peterson versus Jesus H. Luzardo, 7:15 PM first pitch. I will be at a Syracuse Mets game, our last one of the season that we plan to attend.

    I think this is good? I don't know what Nextstar in, I have Hulu which is the most affordable provider locally that offers SNY in the Cuse. So hopefully I get these games in a legit fashion as I've been watching pirated streams of WPIX games for many moons

    Missed all of the scoring at a family cookout and caught all of the drama on the drive home and at home. The bend but not break Diaz is terrifying.

    The Syracuse Mets' final homestand is next week. I hope to attend Tuesday and/or Thursday depending on the weather. As per Gary, though, Alvarez is likely to get called up tomorrow for the Reds series. He hit a grand slam yesterday for the AAA Mets in a road game. Acuna and Sproat also on the MLB roster, or facing impending call ups, meaning most of the most prominent 2025 Syracuse Mets are in the bigs at this point.

    We've watched him all year at Syracuse. He's got the goods. Tong and McLean have set the bar high for him ! I love that the MLB teams don't really have a book on any of these kids yet. I feel like historically the Mets have only been on the receiving end of being stymied by young call ups.

    At least we know whose fault it is that the Mets lost. If you start an IGT and they win, do your job ! Also it's really Ryan Helsley's fault, for sucking big rocks.

    There's no way he should have been pitching in any game where the difference in runs is less than 5-6 in either direction. The only thing he has to justify being used in a close game is what they gave up to acquire him. He's been dreadful as a Met - specifically of late, earned runs allowed in 7 of his last 10 appearances. Two of the three games in which he didn't give up an earned runs were ones the team won by ten runs.

    Mets up four in the WC with 22 games left to play. The Giants have shot past the Reds for the last spot looking in after winning 9 of their last 10. Mets do hold the tiebreaker having beaten San Fran four out of six times this year. The Reds, on the other hand, took 2 of 3 from the Mets earlier this year, so they currently hold the tiebreaker edge over us, making it all the more important that we do well against them this weekend.
