  1. Episode 5 of "BoJack Horseman" (Netflix) has some good stuff involving Jeter.
  2. Padres blog Gaslamp Ball is all over this as was Keith Olbermann last night. http://www.gaslampball.com/2014/8/27/6075395/bud-seligs-history-or-lack-thereof-in-san-diego
  3. How can you be that sure? As I said, I hope that you're right but with the Mets, money always has to be considered as a rationale.
  4. As with everything Mets related, you have to wonder if this is money related because it also removes the need for acquiring an established LF while putting much lower-priced players at C and LF. I hope that this is motivated by other reasons (finding a place for Pawlecki to play; moving d'Arnaud to a place where fewer balls are coming at him; protecting d'Arnaud's head).

  6. Star of MTV's "Teen Wolf", actor Dylan O'Brien. "Long suffering"--he's 22.
  7. It would be nice if d'Arnaud could catch the ball given that he's a catcher. And Murphy should have made that play. SNY guys said "tough chance for Murph." BS.
  8. He should be fired for that bunt attempt alone.

  11. Zvon wrote: Phils views make it look like it was a fair ball. SNY?SNY didn't have a good angle. They are likely using the cameras to find more ex-Phillies to interview.
  12. BREAKING: "Walter Alston had a unique way of touching you", per Charlie Manuel.
  13. 8th inning, tie game, Granderson leads off, he's hitting .222, 2-0 count, and he swings. Lefty-lefty, too. Stupid.
  14. Great point G-Fafif. The Mets have been using AAA as 26th, 27th and 28th members of the roster for awhile. How about Matt Reynolds? Let's see him backup Flores and Murphy for the rest of the season.
  15. I'm rooting for anyone but the Nationals in the NL. I don't care if it's the Braves or the Cardinals because I don't live in Atlanta or St. Louis. AL: anybody but the MFYs. I'd like to see Trout in the Series (even though his manager brings back bad memories).
  16. Jeter is so classy, ain't he? Keith Olbermann explains: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rK8jw4jR_0
  17. I concur with Gwreck. The Mets are getting there but do not have a major league SS at present or on the horizon. FA or a trade are the only ways to get one for '15. Perhaps the Mets will try for another short term solution in LF next year while they wait for Nimmo or Conforto but SS is the #1 priority.
  18. What a lovely game to stay with us during the off day.
  19. Thank you for posting this Mex17.
  20. Great picture. The MFPs are used to seeing that green piece of crap and were face to face with the best mascot in sports.
  21. All the NY writers quickly say that Tulowitzki wears "2" for Jeter. Maybe that's true to an extent, but his name isn't "Eightowitzski".
  22. O'Connor found a way to rip Tulowitzki and praise Jeter: http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_/id/11273496/troy-tulowitzki-looks-more-alex-rodriguez-derek-jeter
  23. Sadly, yes: http://truedorktimes.com/s29/survivometer29.htm
  24. I see your point FK, well said, but I think that it was a good risk and I'd like to see Sandy take more risks.
  25. I'm agnostic on Flores except for the fact that he isn't Tejada.
