    I saw on Reddit that the 2022 Mets are the first 100-win team to have played at least 30 games against other 100-win teams during the regular season. Had the Yankees won today, they would have played 34. The 2022 Braves are second on the all-time list at 28. Obviously, multiple 100-winners in a division are going to make it higher on the list (2018 NYY/BOS, 1954 NYY/CLE, 1942 STL/BRK, etc.). Pretty cool. None of the 1969, 1986 or 1988 NYM teams played even one regular season game against another 100-game winner.

    Without knowing how the new acquisitions would perform, if you would have told me in March that the 2022 Mets would finish as a wild card and second in the division to Atlanta by a game or two, I would have said "Sign me up for that!". If you would have told me in March that the Mets would win 100 games without JdG for half the season and without Scherzer for multiple IL stints, I would have called you an impossible dreamer. There were large stretches in 2022 where they looked like the best Mets team I've spent any of the past 25 years rooting for. I'm proud of these guys and eager to see them in the playoffs.

    I'd prefer the Brewers on the chance that a Mets playoff game in Milwaukee could be possible. Plus I hate for Philly to win anything.

    Agreed, but MLB will hold their breath and cross their fingers that a) the storms don't postpone more than one of the NYM/ATL games and when they reschedule the postponements for 10/6, any games may not be necessary. If the Mets were to play a game (or two!) on 10/6 to decide the division AND the Mets fall to the #1 WC, they would need to immediately fly home to host the first game of the WC series on 10/7, no?
