  1. Poop. Like I said, I didn't look that hard...I actually may not have noticed until after the deadline had passed. It was only a dollar.
  2. If we need another owner, I say bring him aboard! Not for nothing, I accidentally gave an arb raise to Jenrry Mejia last month. I didn't mean to, but didn't see a way to correct the error once completed (granted, I didn't look horribly hard). Maybe the same thing happened to Weeks.
  3. Congrats, again, mm. Somehow I looked up at the end of the season and found I finished 5th (!).
  4. Poop...no problem...maybe next year.
  5. Yeah, shortly after my last post I was able to move David Price (mostly by picking up his salary for the remainder of the year). I can't decide if Harper is going to be part of my future or not since I'm guessing his salary is going to increase mightily during the off-season. I'm open to offers on him, though. *wink*
  6. Christ, the Alpine Albatrosses have dominated for three seasons now. We might have to name the championship trophy after their owner. My team is definitely boxed in right now. My high priced players are guys I don't think I could even give away. I now understand that if you are re-building for the third time in three years, it's really just one long re-build.

  8. Nearly four years ago? I don't even remember that. LOL
  9. I've acquired some of the Mets' young pitching guns over the past few years (Harvey, Syndergaard, Wheeler, Montero) thinking they would anchor my rotation for years to come. Obviously, Wheeler and Montero are hurt and Harvey and Syndergaard are not even included in my top five starters....yet, Mike Pelfrey and Chris Young are. Baseball is funny.
  10. I'm intrigued and probably would play. It doesn't look like they have worked out exactly how they want to do it, but I'm always looking for keeper leagues as opposed to completely re-drafting year to year.
  11. I'm trying really hard not to get excited about this...but come on! [youtube:23irsvqf]ngElkyQ6Rhs[/youtube:23irsvqf]
  12. If you set your lineups before the post-draft waiver period started, they have been reset and you will want to go in and set them again before Opening Day.
  13. I have a feeling the loss of Wheeler for the year is going to hurt my fantasy team more than it will the Mets. I feel their pain, though. With him, I felt like I had some starting pitching depth. Without him...yikes!
  14. Do you guys know how much it virtually costs to have a virtual jet on standby to pick up a virtual Robinson Cano to fly him to a virtual press conference to announce that I had virtually signed him to my virtual team, but that I had to virtually cancel this morning? Virtually nothing. But my virtual fans are pissed.
  15. I rented this one last night and was pretty let down. The performances were very good and the shot direction was unique...and I did appreciate the Birdman/Batman/Keaton parallel. But overall, I didn't find the story terribly interesting and spent most of the second half of the film disappointed. It felt like this one was aiming for Oscars as much as telling a compelling story. I don't see too many new films anymore, so maybe I'm just out of touch.
  16. Perfect for me.
  17. Then the tease worked! Having old (new) school Stormtrooper unis and the Millennium Falcon was enough for me considering there's another year before this thing comes out.
  18. The 7-year-old boy inside me awakens. [youtube:1ucjtcdm]OMOVFvcNfvE[/youtube:1ucjtcdm] Though, even with less than a minute of footage in this trailer, I can already tell JJ Abrams is going to use to much fake lens glare.
  19. smg58 is a Cranepooler who uses the same handle here.
  20. Yeah, punish his roster...feel free to go easy on mine.
  21. Jeter's been put on waivers. I wish I could pick him up and make virtual money off of my virtual fans by giving them the opportunity to see him play his last games for my (crappy) virtual team.
  22. Got to this one on Amazon Prime. I'm not a huge Star Trek fan (though I've seen about 90% of the movies and the original series). I thought it was fun and exciting. Out of all of the re-boots of classic movies/series, I like what Abrams has done with the ST movies. My biggest peeve was all of the fake lens glare he used and spent the last 20 minutes of the movie freaking out that all of this glare would also make into SW Episode VII. He says it won't
  23. Three African-American brothers from Detroit form a punk-rock band in the early 70s. Their recorded album never gets released, but in 2008 gets re-discovered by underground record collectors and punk enthusiasts. This is a pretty moving story about music, family, spirituality and, yes, death. And the music was pretty good considering The Ramones wouldn't come along for another couple of years. 24. I know you have Miggy at third, but I'm open to moving Todd Frazier for some young starting pitching.
