  1. Unless they're on the IL, they'll all get lots of chances to show they belong on the team. Later
  2. Wayne Garrett is still on the roster? Oh, wait! Never mind Later
  3. Clifford is struggling to hit over .190 in the minors. He isn't (nor may he ever be) ready for the majors. LAter

  6. (I remembered these guys, then had to look up the numbers) Roy Campanella 1948-1957 for Brooklyn, 1374 games as catcher, and 48 at other positions ( inlcuding 2 as a pitcher) John Roseboro 1957-1967 when the team moved to L.A. 1476 games as a catcher and only 18 games at other positions. Maybe not equal, but darn close. OE: Sorry. Missed FK's post. Later

  9. While your efforts are appreciated, some of them may also be misplaced. The purpose of this thread is documenting the changes to the Mets major league 40 man roster. I think your information regarding players who were property of the Mets but not on the 40 man roster may be more appropriate in some other thread. e.g.- the "ex- Mets in 2026" thread. Later

  11. He has "caddy for an all-star" written all over him (as in Jim Pisoni). Now they just need another outfielder to play at that level until Soto returns. Later

  13. I don't feel comfortable having him protect a 10 run lead. Later
  14. "Another bases empty homer for Alvarez". I'm sure FK noticed, as did we all. Later
  15. Do we think we might see Manaea pitch a (gasp) complete game? Later
  16. They haven’t been pitching that well lately, nor has wenninger. They might be up in September but they still have work to do. So, we’re stuck with chuck-and-duck stock. For a while. later
  17. Resisting temptation to uhhhhhhh, (Can't help it) Channeling fMan: There's nothing wrong with a little head. Later
  18. I don't watch the games (bad for my heart and blood pressure) so I just follow through the box scores. So I knew there had to be a reason other than pitch count or the third time around the lineup thing. THanks Later
  19. In five innings? The only way that happens if there’s a rain delay. And the way he was throwing, maybe not even then. I hat this formula stuff. later
  20. As per SNY, The Mets have claimed Gabriel Arias off of waivers from the Guardians. Arias, DFA'd by Cleveland earlier this week, has played every infield position this year and has a .669 OPS. Later
  21. Ewing will be a lefty Jay Payton? Later
  22. I remember when she was Lady Met. Later
