    Back to the original theme, teams started using tablets in the dugout around 2015. So how can MLB police this ruling? How can they know whether someone in the dugout is using their own compiled information vs AI when they use a tablet? Are they going to put a keystroke tracker in those tablets? And the second question: do you think the Mets have been using AI? Later

    Right. they didn’t ban pcs when Davey Johnson used one in the dugout, did they? You had to be intelligent to build and use a PC database. But AI does all the thinking. Can that be the difference? later

    From Rotoworld: The Athletic reports MLB has “effectively outlawed” using dugout iPads to access generative artificial intelligence. “Some teams” had increasingly leaned upon AI to help shape in-game strategy, which explains why your team’s favorite manager keeps going to that one reliever you don’t like. The Athletic’s Eno Sarris believes “pitch-calling from the dugout may be at the center of this battle, and is one of the usages the league appears to be targeting,” the practice lead by the Marlins this year has now spread to as many as six other teams. MLB had let teams know in a memo issued on June 11, to give teams a month of leeway before adopting the ban I wonder if the Mets have been one of those teams using AI. Thoughts? Later

    I noticed that the infielder( Mathis) the Mets got in the david Peterson deal is rated just below the top 10 ( 11 or 12) in the Mets system by one publication ( Mets online? ) . It was yesterday and I can’t find the link. later

    I saw Parada on Sunday. He's back in AA, so that surgence (can it be a re surgence if he never surged?) has stopped. Later

    He was as promised- he went 2-4 with a homer and 2 ks. But one of the ks was against a tough opener who also kd two major leaguers ( Robert and Simeon) so I’ll give him a mulligan on that one. He was the dh, so I couldn’t scout his defense. later

    Doesn't matter. Over the years we've seen the Mets play to the level of the opposition - toe-to-toe against a good team like the Braves and then stink against bad teams. I'm not too confident going into this series. Later

    That's great news. Now I won't have to watch him when I see Binghamton (where he had been rehabbing) play at Hartford this weekend. I like to see the kids rather than guys on injury rehab assignment. Later
