  1. Well snuck in there. I love 'ya , man. Later
  2. I agree, but I wouldn't mind #s 5 - the continuing education scholarship fund. Later
  3. I was going to raise my hand, but my arm hurts. Later
  4. And, like the real Gary, even in photoshop, he’s the person closest to the camera. later
  5. But yours was certainly classier, you erudite punster, you. Later
  6. At least one question has been answered. It wasn't clear from earlier reports whether Thornton would start, or come in after an "opener. Which reminds me. When the the term "long man" become "bulk reliever"? Later
  7. I thought Edgy had adopted Ewing. You got yourself a good young'un. Later
  8. I love this kid. About a year ago, I predicted that he would play a game for the Mets before the more highly rated Jett Williams. Can't wait to see him. Later
  9. He's a lefty born in Minnesota. Why not all the way? I'm hoping Jerry Koosman. Later
  10. For those who count such things, that was the first time in 131 games that the Mets have trailed by 3 (or more) runs in the ninth inning and won the game. I like FK's headline. Later
  11. Manaea has been pitching like he wants to stay here. Later
  12. Don't try to dazzle us with logic and good ideas. They're bringing up Joey Gerber. Later
  13. This balagan ballclub needs to get going. Later
  14. The guys in the booth quote it. But have you seen it? Two guys (Bill Murray and Harold Ramis) join the Army, go through basic training and meet some memorable characters (including John Candy and John Lacourette.). Later
  15. I’ve seen those movies, but I still quote stripes. It brings back memories of Army basic training. And that’s a fact, jack. later
  16. I'll look at this year like I did in 1983 when Strawberry came up. The team finished with a terrible record (they were 5th or 6th) but the excitement he generated gave hope for the future and a reason to watch games. I'm getting the same vibe from Benge and Ewing. Later
  17. A different IGT writer after a win is upsetting the balance of my Universe. Later
  18. Keep your back to the wall, but listen for drilling. Saw this headline about the game: Mets Route Tigers Again, 9-4 Somebody needs a good editor. Later
  19. Its performances like that for Tong which led me to rate him lower than 3rd in the organization. The results don't match the stuff. Something's missing - location, movement, command, tipping his pitches? I'm not sure. Later
