It was on HBO last night. I watched the first 15 or so minutes and turned it off. My wife made it to 20 minutes, and our kids had Barbie Dolls. Maybe I'll try it again, but come in about mid way so I don't have to watch the first 15 minutes again. They were trying to show that all women are equal no matter what they choose to do, but it was annoying. Later

Trey is a right handed pitcher who is now in the Arizona Fall League after spliting the year between Brooklyn and Binghamton. For a while I thought Goonies(1985) was a sequel to Gremlins(1984), and didn't want to see it. Then I saw the trailer for Goonies and definitely didn't want to see it. I somehow got coaxed into seeing it. Y'know what? I was right. There are some movies with child actors (Stand By Me) in which the child actors are likeable. This wasn't one of them. He has been promoted to AA Binghamton. His third level this year. He already has 100 BB (combined) for the season. Williams has three hits in his first nine at-bats in Double-A, and is slashing .267/.431/.461 with 13 homers, 22 doubles, eight triples, and 44 steals in 117 games across three levels this season. If I look at my watch during the movie, it may be too long. But I never did that during this one. An overlong movie can kill the enjoyment, but I never felt that way in this one. But "too long" is different for everybody. No need to duck. It's your opinion. Later

My 12 year old grandson saw it with his mom, and I haven't asked her yet how he took to the sex scenes. But she had said he liked the movie for the science, and I can see how he would. I saw it in a regular theater, no I MAX. And I think the sound was perfect. And the way it was used makes me think it should be up for an Oscar in sound editing. The script was tight, telling the complete story the author felt had to be told. I'm the five bomb rater. Later

I never knew about different size baseballs, either. As for Vasil, his record since being promoted to Syracuse is 3-3 5.28, 58 IP, 58 H, 10 HR, 30 BB, 59 K. Several Mets blogs are saying he may join the rotation in early 2024. He needs more time. I hope they don't rush him. Later
