By the way, I hated how the Rhames were rotated in and out last season, with the Mets trying to effectively field an eight-nine-ten-man bullpen by constantly rotating new guys into the back-end slots. The way they kept the door revolving, nobody really got a chance to find himself, make adjustments, and possibly establish himself as a big-league keeper. Rhame never really ran with any of his opportunities but you're right, the Mets have cycled through an buttload of young relievers with next to no success being disposable short-inning, mopup guys on the AAA Express. Maybe they just don't believe these guys truly have enough stuff to get big-league hitters out regularly, or maybe it's something in their approach, which seems to be further compromised by reliably losing themselves into an every-game-counts situation by mid-June which shortens everyone's patience. I wish they'd Show Us The Plan for these kinda guys.
