Newsy item in the Post speculating about what'll happen on Monday when the deal is expected to close. Sandy is expected to be the COO -- LOL, Jeff's role -- and possibly appoint a baseball operations chief and a GM. --Brodie not likely to get either of these roles --Sandy essentially making the baseball decisions already (Mallex, Frazier etc etc) --Considerations for new appointees include JP Ricciardi, who we know from his previous stint. He was the more "old-school" of the eggheads appointed last time and evidently a big whisperer to the Beat Guys. I am almost certain he's the "one Met insider" who trashed the Wilpons for the stealth Omar coup. --Other name (I didn't know) Bobby Heck, who is currently with the Rays and formerly with the Astros and would have been Cohen's recommendation to the ownership group when Jeff got all Brodie on us. --Aldo, still with the org apparently but whose name hasn't appeared in anything I've read for years now, John Ricco
