  1. i barely watched, what did Cabrera do wrong?
  2. Nady 1.5 LoDuca 1.5 Beltran 2 Wright 3.5 Feliciano 1 Valentin .5
  3. Valentin 6 Floyd 1.5 Chavez .5 Loduca .5 Beltran .5 Pelfrey 1
  4. Maine 2.5 Bradford 1.5 Sanchez 1 Beltran 1.5 Franco 1
  5. ]The AL team is just so much better looking than the NL, Vladimir Guerrero hits fifth for the AL while Edgar Renteria hits fifth for the NL,hopefully they can get to Rogers tonight. bad lineup construction helps too. Utley 2b Beltran cf Wright 3b Pujols 1b Bay lf Soriano rf Renteria ss loduca c looks alot better
  6. metirish wrote: From reading this article it seems like Ozzie Guillen wants to win bad while Garner wants the boys to have fun. http://www.northjersey.com/page.php?qstr=eXJpcnk3ZjczN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXkxMDYmZmdiZWw3Zjd2cWVlRUV5eTY5NTk5NDQmeXJpcnk3ZjcxN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2 because Guillen cares about homefield while Garner's team is going nowhere. this whole homefield thing is stupid and gets stupider every time. use the best record or go back toalternating years.
  7. ]The non-move for Guerrero netted us nothing that year though if you believe that the Mets are on a budget it probably allowed us to "afford" Beltran. are we a better team with Vlad in right and (likely) Cameron in center than we are with Beltran/Nady? i think we'd be marginally better but thats assuming there aren't any other moves made or moves not made as a result. it's pretty hard to judge a non-signing, its much easier to judge a trade or even a wagner/ryan situation where one guy was signed over the other in the same offseason.
  8. i was there when he hit the Bud sign. i dont remember the pepsi sign one
  9. well they are intentionally small and located in spots that arent what i'd consider the most likely spots for a HR to hit... it would be like saying "hit the budweiser sign and win" on shea's scoreboard....now thats a HUGE target but i doubt it gets hit more than once or twice a year because of its location and height
  10. good job. ]C Ivan Rodriguez Tigers Hey the power numbers all but shut down. Hmmmm This guy seems to skate by all the finger pointing, probably because hes still producing in other ways, unlike Sam-ME and Ratty who fell apart quickly as well as Bonds and the Yankee Balco Twins who have the Balco stench attached to them. he also has the "catchers always lose their power etc etc" excuse.
  11. ]Obviously there's so much ambiguity in pitcher defense you mean catcher defense i can't get excited about a guy unless i see, at the very least, stats from a division 1 college or the low minor leagues. my guess is that he isnt even allowed to play here for another year, get back to me when he's had 300 ABs for port st. lucie
  12. Olivo cuts it to 7-6 on a soloshot
  13. MVP! MVP!
  14. nice shots, did you have good seats or just an insane zoom in on the camera?
  15. Zvon wrote: But lemme say here I change my vote for that to Valentine. Im sold. who? ME?
  16. hopefully he'll be thought of more like THIS guy...
  17. not a great outing from Pelfrey, but i'll take it. i think pedro martinez might have gone 2 months without getting this many runs scored for him combined...
  18. Valentin triples in 3 more!
  19. Cabrera needs to be yelled at by his manager... you've got a guy making his major league debut, in the first inning, 2 runners on, and you're swinging at a 3-0 pitch. Thanks!
  20. Zvon wrote: Cabrera gets tossed between innings. Good. can we toss him for game 2?
  21. nice job by Bradford cleaning up big-mouth Feliciano's mess.
  22. way to go Feliciano. if you're gonna run your mouth about Willie's usage of you you'd better back it up with results.
  23. Elster88 wrote: That's a fairly ugly Met lineup. they're missing LoDuca for Castro, not a huge loss. they're missing reyes for woodward...ok that sucks i'd hardly call that an ugly lineup though when only 2 regulars are out and wright, beltran, and delgado are in there.
  24. Pedro is hurt. Traschel is hurt. Maine may not belong in a contender's rotation at this point but i can think of much worse spot starters that the Mets can use... ::glares at Lima::
  25. OHernandez 6 Reyes .5 LoDuca .5 Beltran .5 Valentin 1 Chavez .5 Bradford .5 Sanchez .5
