Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 That was bigly, at least it was once he settled down after getting knocked around initially.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 T.J.'s triple was the softest hit of the inning to that point.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 It seems Terry is shy about using Robles, Montero, or Sewald in a game situation. That's a lot of arms to bury.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Sheesh, Thames as the tying run vs. Edgin.Let's go, 66.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Manny Pina just killed the 2017 Mets.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 You go ahead and flip your bat, Manny Piña.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 And on the day when we hit AND getting decent* starting pitching ... no one in the pen can get an out.* decent, but not quite Good
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 The pen faced 15 batters and recorded 6 outs.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 And add another 'loss in the other team's last AB' to the list. Two of the last four losses have been of that variety, plus we had a whole bunch of those early in the year.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 I wish there were other easy answers but salas is very close to earning the Barry Manuel treatment. I hate to be a know it all because I don't know it all but that guy stunk of the "dead cat bounce" when we got him last season and I was shocked we were expecting more of the same this time through. My bench/bullpen rule of thumb is churn some every season.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Miserable series, miserable team, miserable me....
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 IN a season of shitty losses this was very shitty , vile from the Mets , even when they hit they manage to lose

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 No words really. Wondering how it got this bad.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Nightmare flashbacks to the 2001(?) series at Miller Park that helped destroy that season.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 It may take me a while to get over this series.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 It feels like a window is closing.

Guest cooby Guests Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 wow I just read that they lost a 7 run lead on this game. We can't even look forward to certain starters because the bullpen just blows

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Raise your hand if you thought going into Spring Training that the offense would be decent and the pitching would just flat-out suck in 2017.
