Now that Cespedes is back, we turn our attention to the Mets remaining needs. And to borrow a line from Crash Davis, we're dealing with some serious shit here.

*No obvious choice for backup 1B

*If Bartolo continues to defy his age and Wheeler and Montero both come back healthy, we are going to have too many starting pitchers again.

*Clubhouse remains divided on whether Mrs. Met is a good thing or not.

*How to find enough AB's for prospect billed as future All-Star 2B

I worry about the Mets being blamed for the sharp rise in parakeet sales and all the seedy, back-alley, parakeet in-breeding that will go on to meet the demand. I mean, #lolmets, right?

I hope the Metsies again give extra days to the starters, skip starts here and there, piss off Harvey and go with a 6-man rotation for a couple weeks, just to keep all the dudes fresh.

For realz, the D still doesn't look great, but there's depth. Lots of days off for guys, shifting positions, late inning D-replacements. Very importantly, there should be plenty of competition for PT which benefitted the team lots at the end of last year.

Probably less Conforto than we'd otherwise see.

Up the middle D still not very good.

Less likelihood of mid-season blockbuster.

Harvey's insatiable appetite for coke and attention.

Big power threat who steals very little is still batting leadoff (I'd prefer if Granderson batted lower but there isn't another candidate to bat first and Terry likes him there).

The bench needs power: Tejada, Flores, de Aza, Lagares, Pawlecki. It would be nice to swap de Aza for a backup outfielder with pop.

i love Granderson at leadoff, leadoff for me is purely about OBP. seeing lots of pitches is nice too.

now that deAza is a 5th outfielder, i'd rather have the pop, but if he isnt playing great we could always call upon the raw raw raw power of Brandon Nimmo!

We still haven't quite worked out how crazy Cespedes is, and how counterproductive that may or may not prove to be.

Terry still seems to be learning on the job. That he got Harvey to back him down on what may likely be the biggest decision of his managerial life still seems unsettle to me.

Their AAA team is 2,500 miles away, offers a hitting environment that can teach prospects bad habits, and has a raw sewage backing up into the ballpark.

On top of the above-mentioned lack of range up the middle, the two backup infielders are recovering from broken leg bones.

Miami is probably a lot better team than we saw last year.
