TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Game 2 still irks me.Fuck.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 They can win in LA, so long as no one cheats and the umpsdon't fuck things up!!!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I really like Matz, but I feel better about the Game 5 match up (deGrom vs. Greinke) than I did tonight's game with Kershaw on the mound.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 You know what pisses me off? No way these fuckers beat us in a 7 game series. Assholes.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I'm feeling rather fatalistic at the moment. Hopefully that will change.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Terry on deGrom: we told him not to take his bullpen session in case we needed a bridge with the lead. When it got to the sixth or so and we were behind we told him to go out and take his pitches. My apologies Terry.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 They couldn't touch deGrom in game 1. Fuck them, they're going down.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 My brother came over from Penn. I unplugged from the web and had a great time except for the watching the game part. That's not true, I always enjoy watching Mets postseason baseball! But this was a tough one. Kershaw was nitpicking successfully and Matz was nitpicking unsuccessfully. Kershaw was just on. Great that Muffy got to him. I kept expecting them to break out every inning. I'll read the thread because I'm also curious as to deGrom getting up. This created a heavy discussion with my bro, he pro, me aghast. I think he brought me around though, but it all hinged on us getting the lead. With the NLDS cards I have avoided making any involving the Dodgers (ha!). I don't know if I'll be able to avoid that for this game. Damn that Turner. So we go five games. Nothing easy.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 I hope Greinke isn't the Mike Scott the Mets fought so hard not to face in the 1986 playoffs against Houston.Later

It's not about the injury, its about the four runs they scored.

It worries me that deGrom threw 121 pitches. If he's tired, his control will be off, which is why I was glad he didn't pitch on short rest last night.Facing Greinke and Kershaw 4 times in a 5 game series is a tall hill to climb. Let's hope they have it in them.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I feel better about deGrom vs Greinke than I did Matz v Kershaw.Don't like the fact that there's no room for error but whatyagonnado?
