nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Good Starters should be used in relief on their throw day more often.

Putting deGrom in is a total panic move, and those seldom turn out okay. If the Mets were down 2 games to 1, it would be a different story.I'm sorry, but I'm really sick of Terry Collins.

Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Cuddy looks awful. Where's Conforto?

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Same old Cuddyer. Pitiful.I can't believe deGrom is coming in, particularly with the Mets trailing in the going to the 6th. He should be the Game 5 starter, if needed. I guess that assignment would now fall to Syndergaard now.Actually glad to see it is Colon instead of DeGrom
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Matz really didn't do a bad job. Turner's was a drive, but there were some bloop singles in there. He seemed to get a little unnerved after the first couple hits.

But now that the reliever is in to start the inning it's Bartolo.

Now IF it meant he can't go Thursday I would agree with you, but I don't think 1 inning tonight means that. But first, BARTOLO!!!!
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Maybe Colon should have started. Big man is looking good.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 No nail polish tonight for d'Arnaud.

That seems like a risky assumption to make.
Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Bart is getting squeezed.

At that point you should go to Clippard or Reed and use the starter in the 8th instead
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 .[bigpurple:kspkpv50]Bartolo Golden![/bigpurple:kspkpv50]
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Top of the order coming up. Good time for a multi- run homer from Cespedes.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Now let's stop farting around and score some runs and wrapthis puppy up pronto!! Let's Go Mets!!!

But, yes, he did continue to throw after the Mets were up, but at that point it just may have been getting his normal allotment in.I'd be shocked if he's not out of the picture for tonight now.

Maybe Terry had FK's idea in mind and when they didn't need him in the top of the inning he just finished out his throwing session into the bottom.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Cross posted. I missed him warming up in the top of the fifth.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Let's just score nine runs now and not worry about it. Please?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Hafta wonder what Bartolo would have given you as the #4 starter. Guess we'll never know.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 Cuddyer is beautiful and you will all see it before the end of things.I heard he never goes out without a splash of this.
