Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Mets=Better than the Braves
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 Jarred Cosart and the Marlins attempt to pick up where Jacob deGrom and the Mets left off tonight in Miami. Gio Gonzalez goes against our very temporarily beloved Fish.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Will that bumbling misanthrope Tom Koehler be pitching at all in this series?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Nope. Looks like Cosart, the return of Jose Fernandez (who the Nats should see twice in the next week) and then Brad Hand on Sunday (vs Gonzalez, Roark, and the once good but no longer, Max Scherzer)So no Koehler which means at least there will be no give-away games.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Nats lose ... Thaaaaaaaa Nats lose!!
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Getting pretty close to not having to do this anymore.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Whoever's playing the Nationals won't be facing Drew Storen. Dude broke his thumb in one of those locker-slamming tantrums after he gave up Yo's HR Wednesday night, meaning Cespedes literally ended his season.Jose Fernandez one of our two favorite pitchers in the world tonight. Tanner Roark goes for whoever's playing whoever's playing the Nationals.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 This should further endear Storen to the Gnats faithful.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 When he hit his locker, that was the first time he hit his spot in a month.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 Meet your new team on the side, the Philadelphia Phillies. Oh hell, you know them. But did you know you want them to win their next three games?Monday: Nola vs. Zimmermann.Tuesday: Buchanan vs. Strasburg.Wednesday: Morgan vs. Gonzalez. For the uninitiated, Nola is a city in Louisiana, Buchanan was an ineffectual president from Pennsylvania and Morgan had a sister who was known to traipse to the pitcher's mound and steal a kiss.GO YOU PHILLIES! (Bleech.)

(Bleech.)Morgan's first name is Dexter and he's from Miami. Hopefully he kills the Nats.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 Phillies ultimately unhelpful, but Papelbon blowing a lead in the tenth to his old team when he came back to town to announce he was pretty much the only Phillie who had cared about winning was a moral victory for the soul, if not an additional tick off the ol' magic number.
Guest Mets Willets Point Guests Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 I hadn't realized that Fister was moved to the bullpen, so this outing was less surprising than I realized.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Those stupid Marlins are now those wonderful Marlins. GO YOU FISH! Cosart vs. Roark at Irrational Park tonight.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 That's great. As far ahead as they may be, a win there would have totally put the pressure on the Mets going into the Yankee series.
