Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Forgive me for starting anew, I could not find the thread that must have been used at some point this year.Fboy and I will be coming in this coming Saturday, 8/17, for the Mets/Cubs tilt. Haven't bought tickets yet but just got "clearance from the tower" to do so.Anyone who is interested in meeting up at the Citi should shoot me a PM or a FB message, and let me know your contact info so we can knock one back together and talk about our feelings.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Is that Saturday the 16th or Sunday the 17th?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Sorry, meant to say Saturday 8/16.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I'm probably done for the year, and all without ever trying the Cider stand.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 I don't think I can manage next Saturday night's game, but have fun!BTW, there's a Boyz II Men concert after that game, if you or Fboy are interested.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 We will be there the night before (this Friday) for Ryan's birthday.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Will be there Sunday but not Saturday.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 Well I suppose it will just be me and Fboy. Looking at tickets online and I think with "convenience fees" and an inability to choose which side of the field we're on, I may just drive down and buy tickets at a ticket window when we get there. It's not like there won't be a wealth of choices available even on a Saturday, right?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I would think that so long as you don't wear yourB ll Men tee shirts you can get a bargain in the parking lots.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I'll be in Milwaukee for the Brewers/Cards matchup this evening. Milwaukee finally snapped a bad losing streak last night but now find themselves 3 games back in the Central after leading the race most of the season. They still have five games against the first place Cardinals left, though. This will be my first non-Mets game in a while and my first live meaningful September game in a while.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I'll be with 60 Brewers fans at a company outing, so probably Milwaukee (save for Braun). I am looking forward to an exciting game in a divisional race.Mostly, I'm going to try to keep my head in the scorecard and keep my mouth shut. I will be wearing my new 7-Line shirt, though.OE: I do know there will be one other Mets fan there (boyfriend of a co-worker), so I'm sure we will trade some thoughts on the orange and blue.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I saw the tee on fb ... me wanteeee one NOW!!
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I'll be at Wednesday night's finale against the Rockies. Due to calendar craziness, it will likely be my last game of the season.Let me know if any of you would like to say hi.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I've officially purchased tickets for the Astros/Mets on Friday the 26th at Citi as part of the vacation that wifey and I are taking to NYC.If anyone else is going to be at that game, let me know. I'd love to meet you!

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Ha! No...the free shirt Friday and game is enough for me. We have enough running around to do during our 3 days in NYC.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Sweet! I'm holding out hope that Stony Brook grad Nick Tropeano winds up starting one of those three games, in which case I'll try to be there.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I'll be at Monday's game vs. the Mahlins.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 My first and last Mets game of '14 will be Tuesday night at MFN park (section 113, row H). I'll have the pleasure of sitting amidst the smug, unknowledgeable, frontrunning MFN fans. Why am I subjecting myself to this? Because I can't go a whole season without at least one Mets game and it's a chance to hang out with a friend and fellow Mets fan.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 going to the last game, sun 9/28, Fan Appreciation day. Casey bobblehead!
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Non-Met stuff, but I'm going to a game tonight. Clinch night for the Dodgers, Kershaw on the bump, and I'm going w/ some tix comped by a uniformed member of... the Giants.Should be cool either way. Go Doyers?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Gonna have to explain how you pulled that one off. Please tell me you're not taking up with Sergio Romo again. He always makes you feel so bad about yourself.
