Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Always 7 games if the Mets aren't in the post. I want to see as many games as possible before no baseball. Even today I am in withdrawal because there's no baseball.7- BoSoxers

Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I'm going for the Cards, who always seem to get it done.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Whichever way it turns out, these two teams will have combined win five of the last ten WS: 2004, 2006, 2007, 2011, 2013

Oh, and Jon Jay get's a pass for his resemblance to our first Chief Justice.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Eff Beltran too. You fanboys still harboring hope he comes back and wears a Mets cap on his plaque ae going to be very disappointed when he signs with the MFYs this offseason and wears *that* cap to Cooperstown.I know. But that's Beltran.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I don't care what hat he wears to Cooperstown, or if he even gets in.I root for him because he was a fantastic player for the Mets.

But that's Beltran.I honestly doubt he signs with the Yankees, doesn't really seem to fit (well he fits everywhere really..). I think if he gets a ring though that might be enough to push some of the nay-sayers over the edge to 'yes' for the HoF. It really shouldn't matter, because there _should_ be Beltran days in the Mets future (he's on the same level as Piazza to me), but I feel like a ring helps that cause.Even if you think it's a slim chance, it's still a chance of future happiness out of the Cardinals winning, and I can't see any chance of that out of the Red Sox winning.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Willets Point's kid is the most sincere 5-year-old Red Sox fan you could imagine. It's hard not to pull for the Sox after spending time with the kid last week.

dgwphotography Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Sox in 6.Would love it if Victorino was traded to St. Louis for Beltran. It would make the rooting even easier...
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Sox in 7 although the Cardinals pitching seems to be set up better....Willets son is a Sox fan, good enough reason for me to root for them.*although with the start times he likely will see little of it, that's a shame.
