Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 we! Shall be victorious! I hope!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Maybe if Hamels were pitching! (He's prettier than most of my exes!)At least we'll have Tim McCarver for three hours today! We haven't seen him call a Met game since 2000 or so!
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 good catch by Bay there and made a big difference!
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 this'll be over before chelsea vs spurs is finished!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 i'm watching the game on my phone! In a German beirgarten! Jon Niese looks to be piching well! Let's Go Mets!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Six hits but only one run.I'm starting to realize the genius of Roy Halladay isn't in avoiding damage but controlling it.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 That and throwing about 80% strikes.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 We need more. This tightrope is a lot to ask of our defense and pitching.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Big departure for Terry to take his pitcher into the seventh of a one-run game. He opens the inning with only 79 pitches spent.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I was just about to posit the question about whether you let Niese lead off in the 8th inning were he to get out of this inning unscathed.Don't think it was going to happen anyway but it's a moot point now.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Now my question is why Buchholz is getting ready to come in. Top of the order, tie game, two on, one out, seventh inning, and we go with perhaps our number-four reliever.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 because you're hoping he gets the out and then you're expecting to replace him to lead off. And if he gets that out the Polonco, Rollins, Howard run is a lot tougher?there's not a lot of double switch candidates about is there? that's a problem.
