Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Blue, black, orange, home "Mets" or even road "New York" and the number on the front, a player's name and number on the back. Good/bad/indifferent? Everyone who knows me knows that these are a good fallback option for a gift for me, so I have a bunch of these now.Blue - Carter 8, Reyes 7, Wright 5Black - Beltran 15, Santana 57Grey - Wright 5Beige - Seaver 41 (Cooperstown collection)Fboy has three also -- all blue (Santana, Wright and Reyes). I am wondering what the CPF consensus is...
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I said okay for kids. Both of mine have the black t-shirts: My son has WRIGHT and my daughter has REYES.Me, I'm too old to wear somebody else's name on my back. The only Mets stuff I currently have are caps. If I were to wear a Mets shirt it certainly wouldn't look anything like a jersey.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I'm not big on 'em, took ok for kids also. I think I bought my wife a Santanaone but maybe I just meant to. She likes the band.I have a snow white, road grey, and pinstripes "authentic" jerseys and a "re-plica" road black. I also have one of those orange batting practice jerseysthat everyone hates but I liked. I wore it to Shea's final game.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I said yes across the board. I don't often find occasions in my adulthood where wearing a sports jersey feels right, and when I do, the expense is ridiculous and I couldn't let myself pull the trigger anyway. The fake t-shirt jersey is a cool-lookin' affordable alternative to me. I've got a black Pedro, white Beltran, and and orange Matsui. The last one's my favorite.A blue Perez 46 might be in my future.
