Guest mario25 Guests Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 The Marlins sure knocked him out in the first inning last year

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 What are you all worried about? If history tells us anything, it's that Glavine can't pitch beyond the sixth inning of any game -- or bad things happen. I'm sure our guys are licking their chops to get at that backdraft bullpen the Braves have. And ours is pretty well rested after the rainout, day off and strong starting against the vile Skanks.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 And Maine is out of the game, none out and two on in the fifth. No Schaefer for Mr. Vacationland today.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 If we are going to lose a game today I would rather it be this one , I can watch the game tonight at least.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I'd rather win this one. I really really really don't want to lose to Tom Glavine.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Tom Glavine needs to be punched in the neck. And his wife is a ****.She pissed me off last year in Milwaukee... in that game that Glavine was trying to get #300 and the Mets pen blew the lead. It was still a tie game, and still hope for Mets fans, and she's sitting in the crowd like someone pooed on her shoe. Fuck her. OK I feel better now.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Look at us , picking which games we would rather win like we only lose 1 game in 10.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Hey cool.I was just looking that game up on UMDB and saw that every game has a link to the Shaefer POTG votes awarded by the CPF. Sweet!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 ="Fman99"]Tom Glavine needs to be punched in the neck. And his wife is a ****.Wow, both of your catchphrases in the same paragraph. You must be such a joy to be around!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Glavine coming out of the game, and Keith can't believe it. He's retired his last 17 batters, and only threw 82 pitches.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Keith is right.Tom Seaver would start crying.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I agree. It's nuts, especially with a weak bullpen, to pull Glavine after six.Keith backtracks: "Bobby Cox must know what he's doing."Ron: "I wouldn't argue with him. He scares me."

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Words just can't explain how badly I feel for Aaron Heilman. The guy just can't get out of his own way.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 The whole freakin system is out of order
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 The Mets are starting their big comeback against the Atlanta pen now, yes?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I'm seriously wondering in Heilman needs to wear a Zypher uniform for a month work out whatever the heck it is that he needs to work out, because he clearly is untracked.
