Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 One thing that can be done in PhotoShop is we can draw (or paste) an orange interlocking NY on the blue cap.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Is that what you say to all the girls?
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 So where are you guys finding photos big enough? Any Gotay portrait I find I run through and it is too small. Is there some obvious place I should be looking but am not?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 The pictures don't seem to have as much to do with the transfer as your own editing. I'd take the biggest one you can find, download it, and then resize it.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I just found a head shot of Valentin in Google Images and then resized it by 600%.

Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Getty Images is a good place to find the big versions of the spring training portrait shots. The watermark usually doesn't obscure the face.
m.e.t.b.o.t. Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 who should m.e.t.b.o.t. simpsonize?
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 is there some sort of preferred attire? i just sent in a john maine, but i'm not thrilled with him...
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 There's a Simpsonized Mets uniform somewhere. (From the episode where Apu tried to Americanize himself.)Maybe that can be photoshopped under the Mets heads. (Might have to remove the piping, though. I think it was a 1986-style uniform.)Sounds like a job for Zvon.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 ="m.e.t.b.o.t."]who should m.e.t.b.o.t. simpsonize?Someones gotta do Mr.Met..
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Don't think it'll work, but other peripheral figures would, I imgaine.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Check out Willie. If you want I can do the same to the rest.
m.e.t.b.o.t. Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 m.e.t.b.o.t. has sent a mr. met to project coordinator edgydc. m.e.t.b.o.t. is not convinced that m.e.t.b.o.t.'s handywork is yet complete, nor does m.e.t.b.o.t. believe that the burger king simsponize me is optimized for mascot transformation. m.e.t.b.o.t. will endeavor to further modify simpsonized mr. met until simpsonized mr. met is deemed suitable. currently, simpsonized mr. met appears to be a pale bald guy, with stitches on his head, which is technically correct.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Will my Pete Flynn picture work?Jay Horowitz should get done.Is it true that Fred Wilpon looks like Mr.Burns when he's simpsonized?

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Hey, Owned and b.o.t., great work, but let's reveal these all at once.
m.e.t.b.o.t. Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 the end product of m.e.t.b.o.t.'s labors will be kept secret.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Simpsonized Mr. Met is rather creepy. Almost as creepy as the Capital City Goofball:
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 This is taking up a little too much work time for me. If Ruben Gotay can wait until tomorrow for me to figure out resizing images and such, I'll try again. If that's too late, someone else can have a go at it.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 It took some searching, but I found a good shot of David Newhan without a hat on. Unfortunately, the picture is only 140 x 187 so I don't think it can be used. I keep searching for a suitably sized shot of Newhan.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Again, their hattedness doesn't seem to matter much. You can also resize the photos with your desktop art thingies.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I tried five times, increasing the size of my photo, and it kept trying to Simpsonize the same photo (at least from what it showed in the box). After two times, I cleared cookies, etc. While this was going on the freakin' Pirates scored way too much. I'll try a different pic tomorrow ... maybe.
