Sorry I couldn't find the original thread so I started this one.

A baseball signed by several members of the '86 team. Noticeably missing are Keith Hernandez, Darryl Strawberry, Bob Ojeda, wally Backman, Davey Johnson among others.

I was thinking this thing would go for $100.00 tops but its at $152.50 and rising...

Granted its got Doc and Sid, Jesse and Darling etc., but minus those other names I don't think its worth even a hundo.

The 1986 team is so storied that a ball missing a few signatures would be particularly cool if there were a semi-plausible story attached to their absence. Like if it was missing Ron Darling, Tim Teufel, Bob Ojeda and Rick Aguilera because they were all detained in Houston the night the ball went around.

Am I looking at that wrong or is Johnnylavel bidding against himself every few minutes?

No -- he placed a "maximum" bid that's somewhere north of the current bid price. When he placed that bid, however, it registers as only as high as needed to take over as "high bidder."

Each time someone else bids, his bid increases so that he remains the high bidder. (Unless/until someone goes over his "maximum bid.")

Johnnylavel lost out for 157.50. He should have stayed with it

Want to have a neat bronze version of Jesse Orosco celebrating the 1986 Final Out? http://cgi.ebay.com/METS-JESSE-OROSCO-BRONZE-STATUE-SHEA-STADIUM-SGA_W0QQitemZ8821960993QQcategoryZ25144QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Not sure when this guy is handed out at Shea yet but this is something the Yanks started last year, seems like a neater collectable than the Bobble-Heads or Celbri-ducks. Though that should be a McFarlane figure

That's kinda nice.

btw, for those of you who would know, was $55 a good price for all those yearbooks?

Strikes me as a very good price.

I wonder how much Mets fans would pay for Pat Burrell's bronzed head?
