Syndergaard attended Trump's physical fitness board

He said Trump is patriotic and doesn't understand the negativity

"It was the honor of a lifetime to me him"

Not surprised at all. Pay your rent Noah

Sentences uttered in praise of the president by former celebrities desperate to reclaim a piece of their former relevance ... always seem to be missing a word.

"Only he can America's greatness."

"He understands everybody hopes."

"He projects in times of strength."

He must be wearing that Viking helmet with the horns on the inside. They pierced his brain.

Or, he's just a schmuck.

I have no issue with someone having different political views than me.  Or you, or anyone else.

Syndergaard had this to say:

“It’s a dream come true, I’m riding this bliss in this moment,” Syndergaard said of meeting Trump during an interview on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle.”

“I really just don’t quite understand the negativity or the pessimism he gets from the media and some of the population of this nation because he’s just such a patriotic guy, and he cares so much [about] everybody and the health of this nation and the health of this world.”

Donald Trump is on record mocking a disabled reporter.  He's been adjudicated to have committed sexual assault.  There's audio of him bragging about committing sexual assault.  He organized and instructed an angry mob to storm the Capitol.

He said about Somalis:

"I don't want them in our country," Trump said. "I'll be honest with you, OK? Somebody will say, 'Oh, that's not politically correct.' I don't care. Their country's no good for a reason."

"We're going to go the wrong way if we keep taking in garbage into our country," he said.

He didn't say this about a particular group of Somalis, or his political enemies.  He said this about all Somalis.  He called human beings "garbage".

He posted that he was happy Robert Mueller was dead.  He dodged the draft then mocked John McCain for being a POW.  He was found guilty of robbing from charities created for sick children.  He posted a video depicting the Obamas as apes.

He has urged everyone to "move on" from the Epstein matter rather than prosecuting the perpetrators.

Any one of these is enough to tell you everything you need to know about him.  If he were not a politician, everyone would agree he's one of the most despicable people in the world.  There is no way you'd associate with him, or want him anywhere in your life.

I understand good conservative people may view this terrible person as a conduit to attaining their goals.  But anyone who pretends that he's a good person, or doesn't understand the criticism is deliberately allowing their political views to override their morals.

I have been a conservative leaning independent most of my voting life.  I have never voted a "straight ticket" in my voting life.  There are good and bad individuals in both parties.  I judged  Trump to be a despicable, lying, narcissist that shouldn't be trusted long before he ever entered the political arena.  I have never supported him or his self indulgent MAGA movement.  My opinion of him has only diminished since he entered politics.

Centerfield listed a substantial overview (but far from a comprehensive list) of the reasons that I find Trump to be a deplorable individual and a horrible president.  Centerfield just stated it more eloquently than I am capable of doing.

That's not allowed here.

Of course all political views are welcome here, or else that post would have been deleted.

There's a big difference between disagreeing and censoring.

Who cares what he thinks?  He was an athlete, not a scholar.  He was good (ERA <4.00) 4 times in a 9 year career, one of which he didn't pitch due to injury.

If he doesn't want to be a part of the Mets history, then let him see if the Dodgers, Phillies, or Indians organizations want to welcome him into their history.

People here wake up thinking how they can get mad at anything remotely right-wing, hence the almost laughable over the top Trump hate. Trump's a bummer, but dude, these people literally wake up foaming at the mouth thinking "how can I be mad at that stuff today?" It's especially annoying because this is, ya know, a Mets website.

MAGA Noah painted Alonso and deGrom as conservatives who had trouble in the clubhouse

If true, I totally support Francisco Lindor

"I care. I care a lot."

Aren't we adults who should have more to worry about than what some mostly irrelevant baseball players have to say?

As the kids say...go touch grass.

Please don't presume to tell me what to do.   Please don't presume for a minute to suggest I am less than an adult.
