Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 10:51 PM Posted Sunday at 10:51 PM Look at your Mets, coming off a road series win. I like their chances of exacting some revenge for the humbling they received at the hands of the Rockies at home. Brandon Glick 1
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted Sunday at 10:56 PM Posted Sunday at 10:56 PM Look out. The Mets are hot. Rolling into Colorado Riding the crest of a one game winning streak.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago The all-important probables for the series. No, not he pitchers but the weather in this first week of May. Monday: around 60 for first pitch (6:40 local time) but showers possible starting around 9 PM Tuesday: rain all day with temps plummeting to the upper 30s by first pitch (6:40) Wednesday: the good news? 1:10 local time first pitch. Bad news? snow, high of 39 degrees
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Sounds like a good time to call Monday a triple-header.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Now that we're down to one trip per year vs the Rox, it certainly seems like a while since we hit town in mid-summer.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Do they ever have clement weather in Colorado? Later
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago So Melendez is good enough to bat third, but also bad enough that we absolutely have to pinch-hit for him late in the game against a lefty, no matter what happens. Got it.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Denver actually has more hours/year of sunshine than any other big city in this country. It's just very ... changeable. It can be 70+ as it was yesterday, then be 70+ again as is forecast for Fri/Sat, but drop into the '30s w/snow in between as is almost certain for tomorrow. So it's often clement. MFS62 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Fun Fact: Neither Matt Clement, nor Pat Clements, nor Roger Clemens, nor Roberto Clemente, nor Clement Walter "Clem" Labine ever played for The Rockies nor any minor-league team situated in the Denver area. So, in a sense, yes, very inclement. MFS62 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Well,\ done. On the other hand, look at that very inclement sonic wave of a fart blasting out of Edgard's ass.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Yeah, the turn of the millennium was a wild time for baseball cards.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He's a Moniak, Moniak in the box / Was a bust in Philly but is raking for the Rox
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This leading off with Soto is really curious. Keith seems to be doing well.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I mean, he *is* our best OBP guy. And he stole a ton of bases last year. I like it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The wind gods of left-center must be stopped.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Unbelievable, Vientos twice has crushed the ball only to fall short at the wall , the wind blowing in is killing us
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Stop me if you heard this before.....but the Mets offense appears to have missed the flight to Denver. The Hot Corner 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Nice to see the wind knock down a Colorady drive also.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It's Carson Benge's world and the rest of us are just living in it. OK, that's way over the top, but this is starting to get the feel of something big coming on

By flipping Soto and Bichette at the top of the order, the Mets Go L-R-L-R through the first eight in the order. Mendoza seems to put a lot of stock in lefty on lefty (righty on righty) both when the Mets are hitting and when pitching.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I have a meeting to get to up the street. Youse folks better not blow this lead.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago After being no hit through 5 innings, the Mets bats suddenly come to life to score 4 in the top of the 6th. Now Peterson needs to pitch a clean inning.

Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted 47 minutes ago Posted 47 minutes ago I’m not sure Benge gets that ball even if he doesn’t fall. Radio guys tried a Sterling tribute on the Vientos blast, but ended with “it’s caught at the fence.” He was saying “I could have sworn that was going 20 rows deep!”
