Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 8 Posted April 8 The Mets have gone on a nice little run to put themselves in first place, and me bringing that up all but guarantees a loss. Sorry. The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 The Mets need Peterson to give them a solid outing. With Mendoza tending to avoid using relievers on consecutive days, it appears that today will belong to Myers, Lovelady, and Manaea.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Relatively important start for Peterson coming off his last one. Two bad starts and you start thinking that last years Peterson is back.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Also. Today will be the Mets 12th game of the season. They have yet to have a 7:10 pm start. I would think that has to be a record.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Yeah Peterson really needs to put in a good outing today
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Met going with the same lineup behind Peterson. Diamondbacks insertion Jose Fernandez and Tim Tawa to counter the lefty. Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8 Posted April 8 It didn't hurt the team because Carroll had already put the brakes on, but that barehand attempt by Benge was ill-advised.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Perdomo breaks out of his slump with a perfect bunt. Setting up men on the corners with one out. Sac fly drives in Carrol from third. Nice backhand play by Lindor ends the inning. Mets down 1-0 coming to bat in the home half of the first. Let's Go Mets!!!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Peterson has nothing. Batting practice.
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Peterson not looking good at all.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Peterson is getting hammered. Looks like this game is quickly turning into a Manaea & Lovelady game.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 How the hell did I shut down my computer at 1-0, and sit down in my car and it's 5-0? Send Peterson to St. Lucie. Centerfield 1
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Peterson making it pretty clear that the problem last year wasn’t fatigue. The Hot Corner 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I'm grateful for the error, because Nelson is plowing through the Mets lineup with ease.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Can’t win them all. But Peterson and the Mets don’t look competitive so far.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Peterson's ERA now stands at 7.11. Pick up the dice and roll again. Later

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I would describe the performance of the Mets so far in this game as: Sub-Optimal
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Any pitcher can have a bad day, and Peterson had one, but the offense has looked like shit all year long
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Baty is greasing the ball. The Diamondbacks can't handle anything he hits.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 This forum is on life support Anybody else feel that Way
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 8 Posted April 8 No. The Mets offense, on the other hand......
