The Mets need Peterson to give them a solid outing.  With Mendoza tending to avoid using relievers on consecutive days, it appears that today will belong to Myers, Lovelady, and Manaea.

Relatively important start for Peterson coming off his last one. Two bad starts and you start thinking that last years Peterson is back.

Also. Today will be the Mets 12th game of the season. They have yet to have a 7:10 pm start.

It didn't hurt the team because Carroll had already put the brakes on, but that barehand attempt by Benge was ill-advised.

Perdomo breaks out of his slump with a perfect bunt.  Setting up men on the corners with one out.  Sac fly drives in Carrol from third.  Nice backhand play by Lindor ends the inning.

Mets down 1-0 coming to bat in the home half of the first.
