Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 How does this league work? Do I set my "lineup" daily? Weekly?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2021 Author Posted April 2, 2021 You can make changes every day and add/drop four players per week.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 No research, drafts last, builds team behind Conforto and Lindor, and.... First place. FY Yankee Blue Jeans
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2021 Posted June 9, 2021 Hey, don't pretend for a moment that I put any work or research into this thing! I earned my 6th place status the honest and lazy way!
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Weird question? As this is a NL only league, what happens to players who got traded to AL teams like Anthony Rizzo and Craig Kimbrel? Will players who got traded from the AL to NL show up as free agents?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 To answer my own questions: Players traded to AL teams are marked as "NA" for "not available." Players trade from the AL to NL do appear as free agents.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 I just dropped all my stupid AL guys. Everyone else hold off while I scoop up the fun players.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 I've never had to ask this question before but after retaking 1st place by edging bfmc last week, and a resounding 10-nothing shut out victory this week, when do the playoffs start and how do they work? Or are there even playoffs?
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 So is the season over?Congrats and a big fat FY to bfmc's Gulden's Spicy Brown who hammered the FY Yankee Blue Jeans 10-zip in the championship playoff.I held onto Taijuan Walker a week or a month too long, I guess, but still won the regular season by 4.5 games. In a special awards ceremony, the FYYBJ's crowned BRANDON BELT over Freddie Freeman and Joey Votto as Schaefer Player of the Year; KEVIN GAUSMAN as Schaefer Pitcher of the Year; JONATHAN VILLAR as Schaefer Bench Player of the Year; and um, EDWIN DIAZ as Schaefer Reliver of the Year. The League GM of the Year goes to Johnny Lunchbucket who picked last in the draft, took Lindor and Conforto as his top choices, and still whalloped you ****ers.

Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Are we doing this again this year?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Author Posted March 15, 2022 I started a new thread. Yes, we are.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2023 Author Posted February 24, 2023 I don't think that I want to play this season. Sorry.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 aw man... does this mean i need to join - gasp! - a random yahoo league!?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2023 Author Posted February 27, 2023 I guess so. The H2H format was too much work for a league without a prize (other than spiritual). If we played "year-long" I'd do it.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2023 Author Posted March 29, 2023 I started a season-long league with a draft on Friday at 7. We need 8.https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/83872/invitation?key=d88c41caf96261cc&soc_trk=lnk&ikey=ab5d49968826693e
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Anyone paying attention to this thing? Yankee Blue Jeans recently relinquished first place and now three different teams are leap-frogging one another for top spot each day. It's lower-case "e" exciting.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 i'm paying attention. it's all i got, aside from a futile hope of being somewhere in the scrum of a distant second place for ottoneu, if my pitching ever stops sucking. (ahem sandy)
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 i'm trying but cant find a path to the top
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 there's no playoffs this year, right?
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 mm steamrolling his way to the cup. I think i was up by like 2 points last week and now I'm down 6. It's less a free fall and more getting pushed off the roof.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 don't worry. i can squander it all. i have the ability to do it!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Author Posted October 2, 2023 Congratulations to marathonmets!
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 We should return to head to head next season. It's not that hard
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Congrats, mm. Great late season resurgence and beat down.Yeah hopefully we can get a couple more heads next year and have some playoffs or head-to-head or something.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 i thought for SURE i would **** it up. it's rather unlike me not to. if only i could've mounted a similar surge in ottoneu...
