G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Cookie's headed back to Cleveland. Notched his 100th career win as a 2022 Met, his one good season here.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I liked him, had some good moments, good story
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Yeah, great dude. One of my all-time favorite Mets who was only here for a short time and wasn't really good.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Will live on at our house through his namesake, our cat Cookie.
whippoorwill Old-Timey Member Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Never got to watch him but loved his name. I had a cousin named cookie

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Was a big winner, despite not being a stellar pitcher, in 2022.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 He was totally a cog in 2022.It might have been a really impressive season had the Mets more frequently allowed him to go more than five innings per start.
Johnny Lunchbucket Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Belongs in the category of veteran new arrivals who get hurt in spring training. No bueno.

smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Showed flashes but just couldn't stay healthy. He's a decent gamble for Cleveland on a minor league deal though.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Wasn't as good with the Mets as I anticipated he would be. Seemed like a nice guy and a good teammate, but he was another veteran whose best years were behind him. Injuries really seemed to take their toll. I wish him well with his return to Cleveland.
