I started to do this one on my lunch break but something came up and I never got back to it.

As usual I had all the record ones filled in and none of the team matches. I should have known Palmiero (but he didn't come to mind at the time) but you could give me 27 weeks to think about it and I'm not coming up with Steve Karsay, Tony Batista, or Mike Bordick.

Today's killed me, especially the Pirates 20 game winner, doesn't feel like the Pirates have won 20 games as a team in my lifetime!

Got an eight today. I didn't get a chance to guess at Twins/Mariners because I had an incorrect guess of Tom Brunansky for Twins/Phillies.

Phillies/Twins: Cesar Tovar 0.4%

Phillies/Braves: Bruce Chen 0.6%

Phillies/All-Star: Mike Schmidt 8%

Mariners/Twins: --

Mariners/Braves: Ken Griffey 8%

Mariners/All-Star: Alex Rodriguez 4%

MVP/Twins: Harmon Killebrew 16%

MVP/Braves: Hank Aaron 20%

MVP/All-Star: Willie Mays 1%

I had the rare Grid Immaculata today ... but of course that was helped out by the NYM being one of the categories.

I still had trouble thinking of a Brewer/Met. Even 2023 Mets Daniel Vogelbach didn't occur to me and neither did Mark

Canha because A) I didn't think of either, and B) in the case of Cahna I already forgot where we traded him so even thinking

of him wouldn't have helped.

Jeromy Burnitz and Mike Cameron came to mind but I didn't want to use them as I had an inkling I might need them elsewhere.

So it then occurred to me that the Brewers were also the Seattle Pilots so I started thinking of characters from BALL FOUR

and quickly hit upon Greg Goossen for a 0.04% recognition score.

Adam Dunn occurred to me quickly for the CIN/WAS square, I thought of Ian Desmond for WAS/COL but I couldn't think of

his name at first; I could picture him but it took a minute or so of thought before his name finally registered.

That left me with CIN/MIL and COL/MIL where, devoid of any other options, I guessed both Burnitz and Cameron and, to my

great surprise, discovered them both to be correct, hence immaculateness.

I had the exact same thought process with Goossen, and of course I remembered the "in ten years he has a chance to be thirty" anecdote, but I wasn't sure if he'd actually ever made a Mets regular season roster. So I spent a few minutes trying to remember that guy who was one of my favorite Mets like two months ago but was traded to Milwaukee at the deadline...and damned near put down Escobar before remembering it was Canha.

Got 7. Couldn't come up with any other Brewer combos.

I got two today-- Straw as LAD/SFG plus a wild-ass guess on Toby Harrah -- and then gave up.

If I stared at that grid for a week or two longer i might have gotten one or two more ... but I doubt it.
