Thanks so much for Buck-splaing to me. I know what he meant but I also know how I interpreted the quote.

Dear Mr. Morrow.

Koufax' last year, he was 27-9, with a 1.73 ERA (190 ERA+) and struck out 317 batters.

We would wish every starter on our staff would "fizzle" like that.

He retired early due to injury.

Crack a book, asshole.

If you have trouble reading, maybe your eyes are blocked.

Try pulling your head out of your butt.

Strongly worded letter to follow.

Koufax was the best pitcher on the planet, maybe ever (until Pedro 1997-2003 at least), for 5 years in a row. Gooden had ONE year at that level.

Trying to figure out the one next to the Giants ?

Mariners, with Neptune's trident as the M

I think the Phils logo was meant to display brotherly love.

The classic ones are usually the best: Mets, BoSox, Reds, A's, O's, Cards. And the Rangers one is pretty good.

I like my logos to be set against a circular outline so that they can serve as an on-deck circle.

If stitches arc across the background, to have the circle represent a baseball, all the better.

And if your team wears white shoes, you'd better make damn sure that they appear in the logo.

Lastly, it's pretty cool that two different baseball team logos feature dudes shaking hands, coming together, and leaving bygones in the past.

Win Twins is wild

The Twins have a version of that logo -- where the twin with M on his uni is shaking hands across the river with the one with StP on his -- in the scoreboard area of their new(-ish) stadium.

It's exactly the kind of personal touch that was completely missing in the early years of CitiField where being in the stadium showed almost no indication of which team called it home.

That Pirates logo is incredible.

Of those logos, I think of the Pirates logo more than any of the others. I'm not necessarily saying it's the best of the bunch, but I miss it the most and I think of it everytime the Mets play the Pirates and I see their more modern logo. Which I dislike.

The newer logos tend to be fiercer, angrier. I prefer the more innocent, Eisenhower era friendly logos. I miss the old (other Pirate) Buccaneers logo, too.

The Twins logo is so sweet that it inspired Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson's logo when they reunited as The Replacements.

That is a fun fact.

This made me think that if twitter were around when the character Joel Fleischman was in Alaska, it wouldn't have been him tweeting this either, it woulda been some other Joel.

I've heard enough from that account to know that judging someone 28 minutes into his NYM tenure indicates someone whose brain sucks as a vital organ.

The 2000 team I feel wasn't as good as the 1999 version.

2006 was the most complete offensive team. Their pitching injuries let them down at the end. They could have won the World Series that year if they'd gotten past game 7 against the Cards.

2015 was 6 magical weeks from Cespedes, followed by 10 magical days from Daniel Murphy. That magic didn't show up in the World Series, though.

2022 was a disappointment all around, just not showing up when they needed it the most.

I'd roll with 2006, followed closely by 2015.
