John Heyman reporting all-star CF Bryan Reynolds requesting a trade from the Pirates and the Mets are "one of the teams interested".

The problem is, I don't think the Mets have a surplus of major leaguers or major-league-ready minor leaguers at any position to give up in a deal.

I would fly to Austin, (if that is where you wanted to dump him) and meet his plane in a chauffer's uniform, carry his bags to a rented Mercedes and drive him to the destination of his choice in Arlington., then send a personal note of thanks to the Rangers.



McCann seems like a good guy, but if any team is willing to take him off our hands I believe the Mets need to thank their lucky stars and deliver him as quickly as humanly possible.

Andrew Heaney joins deGrom in Texas for a reasonable (to me) 2 years/$25M (plus tons of incentives). Always super talented and always super hurt. He and his new homie JdG might be spending lots of quality time together in the Texas rehab room this season.

Seriously. If you're an agent, and you want to offer the services of a Japanese pitcher to MLB teams, just make up a pitch that nobody's ever heard of, give your media connections mysterious — and possibly mixed — information, and watch the bids go up by 25%.



It worked on me when I heard about the gyroball. It worked on me when I heard about the shuuto. I should seriously know better by now, but as soon as I heard the words ghost forkball, I was all in on Senga.

As good as it would be to see the NYY fanbase go out of its mind the Mets are better off with Judge in the AL.
