Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Escobar already has four of a kind and is going for the straight flush.
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Bookadoodles, I'm so happy I could pee!(win or lose, the ghost-runner way to decide a game SUCKS!)

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I'm pretty sure the Braves are not laughing at all now, and assiduously trying to locate where they left their asses.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 The Eduardo Escobar Game.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Safe to say, this is The Escobar Game, right?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 That was friggin awesome !
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 By the by, I would have held Lindor if I had been coaching third. Balls-out send.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 WP - CF similarity score = 100
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 He was the only hitter in the lineup to do anything and they walked McNeil to pitch to him. So, good, they deserve to lose.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Translator fired in the middle of the interview.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I understood about half of what E.E. just said ... but I agree with all of it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I think Drew Smith just secured his spot on the post-season roster, one way or another.

It wasn't a no-brainer but it's a move Joey C. had to make. Even a really good throw would have been, at best, a 50/50 deal.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 It's nice to play the last home game of the season and realize that it's not the last home game of the season. Also nice to close out the home schedule with a walkoff.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Still three more regular-season games at Citi Field. October 3, 4, and 5 against Washington.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 Guh! I thought that was in Washingtown.Of course, I'm blacked out either way.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 It's something to hear Tiajuan say that the Mets have their three best pitchers going in the Braves series.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I'm concerned about deGrom. I'd hold him off until the third game. I'd go with Scherzer, Bassitt, deGrom in that order.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 I dunno about being 'concerned' with deGrom coming off one bad game after 7,829 great ones in a row.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 He faltered against the Pirates too. I'm not panicky, but I'm concerned.
