Leadoff double for the Braves in the 8th

Now two outs but a botched rundown leaves the runner on 2nd w/2 outs instead of on 1st

And it's tied up on an error which wouldn't have happened had they not botched the fucking rundown!

Now way to see That coming.

And now a walk.

Olson up and I'm hoping the Nats can hold them under 8 by the time this inning is over.

Olson Ks.

It's hard for me to get too upset over the Nationals failing to beat the Braves, when the Mets are failing to take care of business on their own behalf.

They have been (and still are) in a position to control their destiny, but at present it is the Braves, rather than the Mets, that are seizing the moment.

Tough situation to manage. You don't want to pinch-run for Alonso, but it's the eighth, and he's the tying run.

No runner, double steal!!

Take your time, Jeff. Deep breath. We don't need a slam. A single will do just fine. Breathe--and that goes for all of us.

Diaz' first fastball rung up at 96. Don't know whether that's a concern.

Guillorme, Nido (or a pinchie), Nimmo, and possibly Alonso in the bottom of the ninth.

We could use a designated slider though. He's got the ugliest head-first in MLB.

He is probably one of the guys hurt by the rule change years back to prevent collisions at the plate. I have to assume his game plan on plays at the plate was never going to be "slide" under the old rules
