kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 6:40 is a perfectly sensible start time for a Monday night in September.Lurking interns, report this to the bosses NOW!!!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Corbin Burnes' warmup song is “Friends In Low Places”. Brandon was on the big screen as the lead off batter signing every word.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Where did Lindor's hair go
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 After a couple of innings, I can say for sure this is the smallest crowd I have ever seen at this ballpark. It's a school-year Monday night against a non-division team, but these guys are in the playoff race.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 I had this starting 30 min later and missed the first 2 1/2 innings, though also apparently I didn't miss much. Nice of Max to plow through this lineup. I'd hate to miss a playoff clinching win because it was past my bedtime
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Both Scherzer and Burnes are on their game. Both lineups are pretty overmatched by the starters thus far tonight. A classic pitching duel thus far.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Ooooh, that was crushed.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Alonzo crushes one. 3-0 for the good guys.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 =Ceetar post_id=107916 time=1663627774 user_id=102]unlike the Mets, the Brewers are on board with the more much reasonable 6:40 local start.

Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 We need to get Monk tix for the remaining games. Clearly he brings good luck!
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 My son is chastising Gary Cohen for breaking baseball superstition.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 This Scherzer guy is purty good.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Man, we're getting an economical pitching performance here.Willets Point wrote:My son is chastising Gary Cohen for breaking baseball superstition.Gary has a little bit of a chip on his shoulder when it comes to bursting bursting flights of fancy.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Wow. Back to back triples!
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Back to back triples!! Yikes...
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 In his rehab start Max threw I think 59 pitches. I doubt even with perfection that he gets more than an 80 pitch or so rope
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Chicks dig back to back triples
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Can't remember last time we had back-to-back triples!

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 I can't remember ever seeing back-to-back triples before.
