MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 So, you think a guy on the IL couldn't get hurt?Think again.Max Scherzer got bitten by a dog on his (non throwing) hand.https://www.yahoo.com/sports/mets-max-scherzer-suffers-dog-bite-injury-on-non-throwing-hand-191144169.htmlhttps://www.yahoo.com/sports/mets-max-scherzer-suffers-dog-bite-injury-on-non-throwing-hand-191144169.htmlYou can't make this stuff up.Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 6, 2022 Posted June 6, 2022 Tylor Megill threw 3 2/3 innings in his lone rehab appearance for Binghamton, and is now heading out west to be evaluated as to whether he should be activated.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Just saying, but Lindor has stunk up the joint since he fractured his finger...below .200 BA for June with an OPS to match. Might it be time to give him some time on the IL to heal? I could live with Guillorme at short every day for the next week and a half if we get Good Francisco back in July.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2022 Author Posted June 16, 2022 Marte out of the lineup tonight, expects to back in there tomorrow.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Scherzer threw a three inning simulated game today. Rehab assignment (at least one start) to begin Tuesday.Via DiComo:

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 Have they at least determined which arm it is?

Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 Deven Marrero has been playing SS for Syracuse, and has some limited MLB experiece -- but is not on the 40-man. Blankenship is there, too, and also not on the 40-man.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 I got 50 Cranebucks on Gosuke Katoh. It's smart money!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 The only smart part of that bet turned out to be only putting Cranebucks on the line.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 This is a big injury for the Mets because of the way the roster is currently constructed with a short bench and at least one DH-only bat. Might they have to consider beimg down a reliever at least until usage forces them to change back?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 yeah they probably needed the positional flexibility of Marrero even if he wasnt the best available bat
Marshmallowmilkshake Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 I can't believe I guessed right!
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2022 Author Posted August 20, 2022 Taijuan Walker won't pitch Sunday in deference to his bulging disc, but won't go on the IL. Should pitch in the week ahead, Buck indicates.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 Oh well. He showed some promise and I imagine he'll be a big part of the plans for 2023.
