Exactly! Imaging in three weeks and evaluate,

I would guess he is up in late June if there are no setbacks.

That's no setbacks.

"Cleared for loading" is a phrase that we're going to go from none of us ever having heard to every one of us sick of hearing in about four months.

Partially torn UCL for SR-F. Course of action, besides IL, TBD for Sean Reid-Foley.

That's a crummy break. He might be out until 2024, at which point he will have to start re-establishing himself as a major-league reliever completely from scratch.

Trevor May goes on the 15-day IL with right triceps inflammation.

From the Mets:

James McCann underwent an x-ray this morning that revealed a fracture of his left hamate. He will undergo surgery, and the typical timeline for recovery from this injury is approximately six weeks. He has been placed on the 10-Day IL.

I wonder if they'll be satisfied with him as a backup catcher for the next six weeks (or more) or if a deal will be made. I don't see any obvious alternatives in the farm system. Nick Meyer looks like he might be a little bit better than Mazeika, but Mazeika is on the 40-man. And it doesn't look like Alvarez is ready yet.

That's probably because Luis Rojas refused to start him in a spring training game catching Noah Syndergaard last year.

I think the Mets will ride out a Nido/Mazeika tandem and see if the results force them to make a move. First place in May can allow you to measure your options.

Nick Dini has been socking the ball the last two weeks for Syracusius.

Why not? If the Mets can tolerate McCann, who's been putrid, they can ride out anybody else.

Sub .300 OBP.

its harder to tell with Catchers than others what their contribution is - maybe he was calling a REALLY good game and the pitchers were REALLY comfortable with him? More likely, Nido can do at least what he was doing.

From the Mets:

RHP Tylor Megill has been placed on the 15-day IL, retroactive to May 12, with right biceps inflammation. He will undergo an MRI today.

RHP Colin Holderman has been selected from Triple-A…He will wear #35.

RHP Trevor May has been transferred to the 60-Day IL.

Speaking on his podcast, The Show, Heyman laid out what he heard from someone with the team.

"DeGrom, I finally heard a timetable. Somebody with the Mets told me late June," he said. "To me, that seems optimistic. I'm looking at July, I think him and (Max) Scherzer coming back around the All-Star break makes sense -- they felt June is a possibility for deGrom."

I see no reason for a glimmer of hope that deGrom will magically pitch in

June. Realistically, I would be surprised if we don't see him until late August

and then there's always an early inning setback with no medical explanation.

It is what it is, just not counting on him in 2022. Or ever again, Metly-wise....

TJ won't be punch-running anytime soon.

OF Travis Jankowski has been placed on the 10-day IL, retroactive to May 26, with a left 4th metacarpal fracture. He underwent surgery today at HSS. A general timeline for an injury of this nature is 6-8 weeks.

LHP Thomas Szapucki was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on May 25.

RHP Yoan López has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse.

RHP Steve Nogosek has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse.

thanks...I saw on several articles on sportspyder that he had surgery on his hand, but they didn't state how he got injured...last thing that I knew it was Rocky the flying squirrel that crashed into a wall and got hurt; I hadn't heard that Travis J also had gotten hurt

Interesting that Smith didn't hit the Injured List after his pinky disfigurement.

Yennsy Diaz and Locke St. John still hoping for a taste of being a 2022 Met.
