So a new pitcher for TBR, Fleming, starts the bottom of the 7th, throws 13 pitches getting an out then giving up a single.

Out comes the pitching coach for a chat, a chat with the same pitcher who was just brought into the game two hitters ago.

So the freshly instructed pitcher promptly gives up a hit on the very next pitch.

Out comes the manager this time in order to make a pitching change.

So that's approx a six minute time frame -- mound conference, pitch, pitching change-- where ONE pitch was thrown.

Nobody can think that's a sustainable model.

Not that it seems to be helping them in the final score, but the Rays have taken away around 10 hits from the Red Sox with great defensive plays in this series.

Until right now.

That error could be a Yuge one.

Ugh, I hope that we're not going to have Boston v Houston and Atlanta v LA.

Giants-Red Sox would be the most picturesque ballpark matchup in modern times, maybe anytime.

The Giants could avenge their 1912 loss at Fenway Park when they were 2 outs from winning the World Series only to fall victim to the Snodgrass Muff.

Brandon Crawford did a nice Bud Harrelson with the leap and grab last night.

If today's CHW/HOU started on time then there's something seriously wrong with this sport because they're more than two hours in and yet it's still just the bottom of the 4th.

5-1 'stros

Next update will be after the 6th inning, or at 9PM EDT ... whichever comes first.

I don't know if it's required by law or merely good practices just in case something goes sideways on account of the gambling concerns that all these leagues are now in bed with, but all ads connected with gambling and even the crawls across the bottom of the screen on sports networks giving the latest odds, point spreads, or other fanta-crap stats, are routinely followed by gambling help info.

btw, they have in fact reached the 7tb inning in the south side of Chicago, a mere 3:20 after first pitch of a below average scoring game.

Yeah, that game in Chicago still hasn't ended yet (about 4:20 as we type) but presumably it will end at some point and seeing as how it's 10-1 Houston the Astros get revenge on the 2005 WS sweep

even though it's now impossible for them to get the revenge in the actual World Series

The [CROSSOUT]Atlanta[/CROSSOUT] Cobb County organist just played a rendition of Styx I'M SAILING AWAY when Avasail Garcia came to bat.

Earlier, following a leaping catch by SS Swanson, came a few bars of STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN

Either that organist is very creative, or did a lot of drugs in the 70's and is still (mentally) trapped there.

Every Brewer should do to Devin Williams what he did to the wall. Williams would have been pitching in the 8th, not Hader, when FF hit the HR and that was Williams' job.
