Well, Alou keeping his powder dry instead of pinch-hitting for Walker early may have been the right call after all, even though he only had one more inning to get out of Walker. And credit to Taijuan for hanging in there as long as he did when his location was all over the place.

it may be the right baseball move in the moment, but NOT doing so carries no risk while using Jake as pinch-runner may carry the risk of your job if he suffers a long-term injury on the basepaths.
