Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Howie correctly notes Joan Jett in the house and, not caring about her reputation, supporting the Orioles. He incorrectly states that the Blackhearts did not join her in the RnRHoF.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Peraza being the very ideal of the backup infielder on that play.
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Villar bucking for some -Illar points with the hustle here in the fifth
LWFS Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Wracking my brain here for the source of the O's allegiance for Jett (born in Philly, longtime LI resident). Weaver's niece? Secret dalliance with Eddie Murray? Secret dalliance with Eddie Murray's wife?
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 I guess I'm pleasantly surprised that fans in the house today weren't assholes to Harvey, but I'm a little surprised at how beloved he is years later. My feelings on him are a bit more mixed.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Keep the conga line moving! So THIS is what hitting with RISP looks like.......
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Lazy research turned this up: https://baltimorefishbowl.com/stories/joan-jett-might-orioles-biggest-fan/https://baltimorefishbowl.com/stories/joan-jett-might-orioles-biggest-fan/We used to live in Maryland and my dad took us to see the Baltimore Orioles several times. But my first game was Jim Palmer against Catfish Hunter of the Oakland A's. Jim Palmer threw a no-hitter. So how can you not be an Orioles freak after seeing that for the first game? It was the team with Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson and the 4 20-game winners. It was quite a learning experience at the time.

Apparently, she also did the anthem at Cal's record-tying game, at his request.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Joan also threw lefty despite batting (and guitarring) righthanded.https://eutawstreetreport.com/files/2016/09/Screen-Shot-2016-09-22-at-12.43.48-PM.png>

Different teams.
