Commence the Quattlebombing has to be a finalist in thread title of the year awards. Quattlebomb is © worthy.

Hell, I may not Kaboom again all season. #lgm #ygb #ymdyf

Does Quattle rhyme with bottle?

Or if it rhymes with battle, I'm all in.

Lindor has to hit eventually.

I think so too, but we were probably saying the same thing about Jason Bay.

There's a middle infielder whose production dropped off a cliff after a move from Cleveland to Flushing that comes to mind too.

DeGrom reportedly scratched with lat issue. Yamamoto to start.

There are little spoonfuls of news that Jake might be a late scratch with a lat issue.

Or, rather, a little

garbage plate.

EDIT: Now confirmed by Heyman, Sherman, and several of the beats.

Or are we talking about Carlos Baerga?

That's who I first thought of earlier.

I think the math says that deGrom being scratched increases our chances of winning the game, or at least of scoring runs.

Unless it turns out to be serious, of course, in which case it fucks our entire season.

No IL for deGrom. No throwing for a couple of days, either.

“Inflammation” in the right lat, the MRI showed, per the Mets.

Just when it was clearing in Saint Louey, too. Just as well. Sure didn't want to watch this bullpen burn itself out over 9 innings.

Of the 34 days since the entire league schedule was to kick off on April 1, the Mets have now been idle on 13 of them (38%) due to rain, snow, Covid, or just plain scheduled off-days.

That's basically playing five games every eight days on average and only 17 of the 21 games they have played have been full games thanks to the Double Header rules.

With the exception of the Nats (25) every other team has played between 28 & 31 games meaning the Mets have played, to date, 2/3 to 3/4 of a season so far compared to the rest.

Oakland has nearly as many wins (19) as the Mets have games played (23)

Not saying this is an excuse for the offense ... but I'm sure it's not helping.

Also not saying this is the cause of my new meth habit ... but it's not helping.
