Man, that kid could play. Was ready to hand him the keys to the middle infield kingdom after about a month.

Has work to do with the bat -- not patient and minimal power -- but he was very good for 21. The kind of guy who could surge forward or flatten out with equal probability. But he was an easy guy to root for.

Ruben Tejada with a peppier engine. Not sure he'll ever be better than this year but this year he was good. Criminal to see him wearing 60. He was more like a 1 than Rosario, but really a 2.

From the time I first saw him playing for Binghamton, I thought he had a chance of being good. He was dazzling in the field, but what caught my eye was when he took a curve ball from a lefty (he was batting lefty) and drilled it the opposite way for a triple. He didn't just try to make contact, he swung with good pitch recognition and attacked it. And he was just 20 at the time.

He'll be a good major leaguer, and I wish him well.

i was excited about watching him develop - he seemed like a really good talent with great instincts. maybe his offense never really gets to be too dazzling, but he'll be a solid contributor wherever he goes i think.

I guess i'll just have to be excited about Lindor instead... i think that i shall manage.

Glove is already top notch. Great hands, which make you think he'll hit for average long term. It really comes down to if he has enough power to become a star, but he'll be a very good MLB shortstop for many years.

Comparing his play at short to Rosario's made it clear why it's so much harder to develop a tall guy at shortstop.

Clearly it can happen. An A-Rod can happen once in a blue moon just like an Alexander Godunov can somehow wind up as your lead dancer. And it's amazing to behold, largely because of it's seeming absurdity defying all logic. But the position was made for a Barishnikov, and wishing to fit a big dude in there isn't going to make it happen.

Our allowing strikeouts and homers to consume such a large chunk of the game has been foolish. It's nice to know that there's still a place for the Harrelsons in this world.

Everyone was surprised when BVW added him to the 2020 Opening Day roster and if he didn't, we wouldn't have seen his talent and perhaps this trade wouldn't have been made.
