1. The Mets record (60 games).

2. Where will they finish in the NL East?

3. Will The Mets make the playoffs (yes/no)?

4. If so, how far will they advance and the number of games in their final round?

5. How many home runs will Pete Alonso hit?

Are going for winning percentage or actual wins and losses (meaning we'd be predicting if they pull the plug on the season, too)?

I hadn't considered that factor. We could do them based on 60 and then if the plug is pulled someone smarter than me can translate the numbers.

.500 ball no matter how many games are played. No playoffs.

OE: because the initial question was changed;

1) .500 record (30-30)

2) finish third

3) no playoffs

4) moot

5) Alonso will hit 22 HR.

Later

45-15, steamroll everyone. They all suck, screw him. The conspiracy theories about the Mets purposely leaving virus in opposing clubhouses crops up late August, but the team just blames Beltran and ignores it.

squeak out a 3-2 win in the NLDS, but then don't lose another game.

1. The Mets record (60 games).

I'll say a .550 winning percentage, which would be 33-27. If fewer games are played, pro-rate as necessary.

2. Where will they finish in the NL East?

Second, behind Atlanta.

3. Will The Mets make the playoffs (yes/no)?

Yes, as a Wild Card.

4. If so, how far will they advance and the number of games in their final round?

Lose the NLDS in four.

5. How many home runs will Pete Alonso hit?

Fourteen.

if this is helpful (it's not?)

The Mets best 60 game stretch was opening the '86 season 44-16. They also went 44-16 from game 6-65.

I'm not feeling it this year. Who would have thought starting pitching would be a weakness? But Stroman + Matz + Wacha + Porcello isn't doing much for me. Nor is the bullpen. And Alonso came back to earth in the second half last season.

I'd love to be wrong.

28-32

3rd ahead of Philadelphia and Miami

No playoffs

13 Alonsonies. The equivalent of a perfectly solid 35 over a full season.
